Ah I really loved meeting you too! Thank you, yes I dyed it, literally scrunched white cotton jersey up and poured Dylon navy dye over it leaving some white sticking up if you know what I mean!! Left it for a good few hours to exhaust the dye then washed it with some colour catchers. There’s a photo of the fabric in the dye on my Instagram hidden behind a photo of the finished outfit. x

I am fully occupied with sewing for my gbabies that prevents my sewing anything for myself!! But, hopefully I can at least print out the Nino! I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for the info! My my, you have such an immense "stash"! The carousel toile is gorgeous for the Paola or even the Nino with some fussy cutting on the pockets.

Ah thank you so much!!! Yes definitely try and get the Nino printed out, it’s not a complicated make so hopefully you’ll manage to grab enough time in between other projects to get it made!!

You have some fantastic plans. I made the Paolo jacket last year for the challenge. I used a piece of embroidered denim that was sitting in the stash for at least 20 years. It's a boxy fit, but very comfortable and great for layering. Now to check out some of your suggestions.

Ah thank you so much! 😄. Yes give the Gilian a try, if I make it in a scuba or knit I would leave the zip out and perhaps lower the neckline slightly and use a stretchy ribbing to go round the neck as it looks like a fairly high neckline. I don’t get on very well with pairing zips and stretch fabrics 🫣😂

Ah thank you so much. I use iMovie. I film and edit it all on my phone. To be honest this video took quite a while to edit, but I think as everything it gets easier with practice. I used a few KZbin tutorials to get an idea of the basics of iMovie, but it’s a brilliant tool. I haven’t looked at anything else, this works for me. Good luck! 😊

Do you think the Gillian dress could be made without a zipper when using a stretch fabric?

Hi, I wouldn’t use a zip if I made it in a stretch. I don’t get on well with zips in stretch fabric. I may widen the neckline slightly though and probably add a stretchy neckband in either ribbing or self fabric if it’s stretchy enough? I hope that makes sense. Good luck, I hope it works out!

Hi, I’m not sure how to add links, that’s a bit too technical for me, but I agree their website isn’t straightforward to find or navigate. Their website name has a hyphen in it, it’s fabrics-store.com. If you search that with Paola or Nino it should take you straight there. I hope that helps! Happy browsing! 😊
