Joy Before Her Specificity which video/s. I’m looking for a routine for my daughter, she is 7, so as easy a routine would probably be best. She has curly hair that desperately needs revitalizing!! I have stick straight hair so this is a whole new world for me. All guidance would be greatly appreciated!!

Lawl I was even thinking you use way more products than usual.
@ferhangunay80786 жыл бұрын
Ma H hey, I know your question wasn’t directed at me but I’d love to help. You should use a sulfate-free shampoo and silicone-free conditioner for your daughter. Some good brands that I’ve tried are Shea Moisture, Maui Moisture and Sukin. The shampoo and conditioner don’t have to be specifically for curly hair, but as long as they don’t contain sulfates and silicones they would be fine. For styling products, it’s not necessary to use a ton of products. I used to use a few but now I just stick to one product. You should try finding a good leave-in conditioner or some sort of curl cream to add moisture to your daughter’s hair. Maybe you could try one of Shea Moisture’s leave-in conditioners or Cantu which is more affordable. When drying her hair, don’t use normal towels. You can use micro-fibre towels or just a t-shirt. That way you’ll avoid having any frizz in her hair. Try deep conditioning her hair once a week to maintain healthy, moisturised curls. I recommend Maui Moisture’s Shea Butter deep conditioner. It’s really good and it smells great. I hope I was a bit helpful, if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer. Best of luck!

Can you please share your link to your updated shea moisture routine video. I saw your DevaCurl routine but not Shea Moisture. Do you use DevaCurl more now? Is SheaMoisture heavier? Also two of the products you listed in video don't look like they are made anymore. Thanks for your videos! I'm new to the curly hair routine, trying to go all natural and have same hair as you...I am eager to learn!

Hi! I've been following this regimen since a few days after you posted it, it's been an internal struggle to stay away from the flat iron I must admit.. I miss the ease of straightening my hair and being good for a few days without the daily styling. I'm lazy I know... I do absolutely love the curly look and I know i can achieve it so I'm definitely going to keep it up! Question for you, what do you do to your hair at bedtime? I fall asleep on my hair and it gets all flat in the back. Also.. great idea from the other viewer, a 2nd day hair video would be soooo helpful. Thank you for all you do!
@JoyBeforeHer8 жыл бұрын
Not straightening often will save your hair from so much damage! keep it up :) I put my hair in a "pineapple" at night, which is bringing my hair up into a ponytail at the top of my head, and put a hair tie around just once. I will work on a video about what I do! Thanks for watching!

I don't know how you still get volume with all those products. I use that enhancing curly smoothie and that's it, I have much loooonger hair than you, and my hair gets like oily instantly, the curls look nice and really well defined but no volume like I would like. I have Cantu too, the curl activator, if I use it alone, my curls kinda look weird, like some flat parts so I use a bit of the SM one. They helped a lot my hair, they look really healthy, but I don't get that nice volume T_T. I bought some DevaC products, because of you HAHAHA, I hope they work better for me, but I'm searching what else could I buy, cause well, DevaC are a bit expensive for me T_T.

@JoyBeforeHer8 жыл бұрын
I agree with Reese! some products work different for different hair types. It depends on a lot of factors like the way you put it in your hair, too much or too little product, if you let it air dry or diffuse, it all depends.
