Kostas - Great video! Thank you for documenting your journey and sharing it with us. One thing I very much appreciate is how your collection is a reflection of your personality. You’re not afraid to go big and bold! Your apprenticeship/time of study in Florence sounds really exciting! What a wonderful city to learn the art and craft of fine shoemaking. Looking forward to more videos when your time and bandwidth allow. Once again, thanks for sharing your insight and expertise. Be well and stay safe! Steve

Hey there, finally got around to watching this over the weekend - excellent video! So awesome that you did this and shared with us - thank you! My faves (in order) 1) the Meccariellos, 2) The Bemers 3) the Vilaltas 4) The Vass, 5) the Scafora boots I see you've come to like your yeossals more and more since your review video (not that you didn't like them before, just seems more so after wearing more)... As I have bought about six pairs of shoes/boots from you, you already know about 1/4 of my collection! :) and I look forward to going into next-level purchases... Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your developments!

My faves are the Scarfora boots and the Vilalta shoes. I share the same sentiment with my collection. Keep a few of the lower cost shoes as I continue to add the higher end stuff. I just wish you had 50% MTO upfront charge so I could get those boots! 😭 Anyway, I'm sure you will be able to put together some awesome content as you move to one of the shoe meccas and start your next chapter. Thanks as always Kostas!

@@MisiuAcademy well, the thing is that I've got them each in the ballpark of 110 USD per piece (they're all goodyears, but I've haggled hard). Can't really complain at that price point. I have a pair of oxblood lace up boots,, a cognac split toe, and a brown museum penny loafer from them.

If you got them at that price there’s nothing to complain indeed. But for the full retail price that was about $300 usd plus any possible import taxes and duties I believe you could do better!

I was at the Stefano Bemer store in Florence first week of May and placed an order for shoes and Aldo suits. Kostas, you wrote earlier that you have size 7UK in Carmina Rain, in TLB Picasso. And now size 8UK. Can you write what is your foot length and what is the girth in the bundles of your fingers?

Hello, I used to wear wrong sizes many years ago, too tight and I was also much slimmer. My sizes now on those shoes is UK 8 for both brands.

I was curious, which belts would you go for if you were very value conscious? There's a lot of cheap belts by Meermin in leathers I really like, including Museum Calf, but I heard they're bad. Do I have to spend £100 for a quality belt?
@MisiuAcademy Жыл бұрын
I don’t think belts have to be as expensive and they don’t go through the same stress shoes do. I think Meermin would be fine in that regard.

What is the most sleek shoe brand for under 600 Dollar that you know?
@MisiuAcademy3 жыл бұрын
It depends how do you define sleek? For me sleek is aggressive soft square lasts. I would buy Yeossal or Antonio Meccariello Aeris for the top price and Carlos santos or Septieme Largeur for the 300-400$. It depends what aesthetics you like.
@clemensgabriel303 жыл бұрын
@@MisiuAcademy Thank you for your answer. I define sleek in a very aggressive last, this means very narrow in the toe area, almost pointy, elongated last. Low instep and narrwo waist.

Then you should look at santos Handgrade, tlb artista, Meccariello aeris, yeossal and that’s about it for those prices
