I was greening RED contest from limitless all the way to half court ALMOST consistently last year (legit 50% of my heavily contested) with a regular Xbox controller. Don’t knock it until you try it.

@@cantcatchzoom19 IN MY OPINION it feels easier to time. When you’re at half court in the REC your jumpshot feels and looks a little sped up so it’s easier to see the visual Q for release than it is for push. I also only use an 87 3 pointer with Silver Limitless.

This video was very informational. I have a build with a 99 three-pointer and have been beating myself up because I have most games where I go 55% from the field. And then there are those two games while just shoot two for 10. Most of these tips I used already but the one with pass accuracy and positive takeover is good advice. I can’t tell you how much I was beating myself up that I wasn’t hitting my hash threes with legend limitless range, like every 2K I’m just going to adjust. Any tips are going to help me do that even more. Edit: also for others please don’t come under my comment saying you don’t need a 99 three to hit from hash. I know that I just wanna maximize my role of being a two-way spot-up It’s what I love to do and it helps my team win

I’m 7’0 center my midrange is 87 and 3 ball 80 , my jumpshot is Chris Bosh base , Kevin Durant and Chet the mix is 60% and Chet 40% max speed , I got it on release as well I been greening but I’m also getting use to release. The timing is when the ball is coming out my players hand

I agree with everything other than anything that revolves around the creative process. When it comes to creating a jump shot, I think it should be based off the individual. How they look at the stats (they need to understand how the jumpshot creator works for themselves), and how they like the entire visual of the jumpshot is going to determine how much they connect with said jumpshot, which will ultimately determine their success with that jumpshot. With the build, people need to actually look at the builder, play around with it and come up with a build that fits their playstyle. I understand that content creators put a lot of work to create these builds for people and I don't want to take away from that, but they should be using your builds as templates, ideas to take and make their own. And you guys do a great job of saying "this is just a template, don't take this and make it exactly how I am. If you don't like this stat then don't put it there, do something else with it.", but so many people are looking to you guys like if they don't make the build exactly how you do it will be trash. I started in 2K20, the first build I made was awesome and it was from Brotha Jones. Love his content still, but I learned that he makes some builds where I'm like "I think I would rather have this than that" and when I make it that way, it turns out to be so much better for my playstyle. Since I've figured that out, I no longer look at build videos like I need to follow that, it's more like those are some interesting concepts so I'll adopt some things and see how I can incorporate it into what I'm already thinking about doing. I know this is a bit of a long message, but if even just one person reads this and understands that anything viewed on any platform for 2K should only be looked at as inspiration as opposed to something they HAVE to do, then my job is done. The thing that sets content creators apart from your typical casual is that you guys spend countless hours doing what they don't have the time to do. I appreciate that you guys do that for everyone. But I also spend the time myself, and I implore everyone to do that if they want to be self sufficient.

I’ma be real… my shot broke AF yet I don’t take dumb shots. I miss mostly b/c of timing variations based on shooting distance. Shooting from corner vs the wing vs a middy is the difference between a green and a slightly missed green assuming all shots locations have the same shot contest coverages. This alters my green timing too much. I don’t like that. I understand if I’m taking Drbl PU/Fades or Moving shots it should change but, spiting up no… that’s bogus. I haven’t played since 21 current Gen at the time on the 2kbeach. To me this was peak 2k… with 1 small problem of curry sliding play shots. Witch where stoppable if you played 23 zone with help defense. I never played 16/17 cause I didn’t have a console during that time. 21 had vibration for shots and I used that as a que. I don’t know why 2k removed that!!! In any game I play I use vibration it gets me more engaged with what I’m doing. It’s a feeling thing… its like big men who play post who take a power dribble before going up for the finish.
