I know what you mean, try this: 1. Lay on your side 2. Pull both knees up to your chest (half way will do...) 3. Roll up on your knees 4. Get the strongest one on its foot 5. Steady yourself (grab something) and push up.

Yes. That’s why I painted my garage walls semi-gloss white when I first bought my house back in 2004. I was thinking about how the lights will brighten up the garage more with the white paint. Every one else in the neighborhood left the dry wall unpainted.

One of those examples where sometimes, getting fired (or forced to leave let's say) can be the impetus to going ahead and taking the leap into something you were meant for. It certainly take a certain kind of self-motivated person to do it, but you and your wife both have the skills and work ethic to do it, and have done a good job finding good people to help. It's amazing to see the transformation of that old shop into what it is now! :)

The old pipes in the bathroom were so old and clogged that the owner had the tear down the whole bathroom to fix it all. So we got a brand new shower and bathroom. It is so nice to go into a new shower and flooring that I'm sure you'll enjoy walking into the shop even more now with the new floor. Also thanks for showing that whole trailer stuff. I've never had to do any of that and I still learn a thing or two.

It's sad that almost no shops take care of their floors, even large dealerships that make millions in profit off the backs of mechanics will make everyone walk around in oil stains for 20 years. They're supposed to be acid-cleaned & re sealed every few years for safety reasons alone.

We just bought that exact one but the black version for our shop a few months ago. The best thing to do is go online to their website and it will show you the stores it's available in. We just bought a smaller one in white and had to drive to another store in our area. The only gripe I have is they do not offer a way to purchase it online and then pick it up in store, if you purchase online they are only going to ship it to you and on a tool box it's not really feasible. Harbor Freight has really improved the quality on these.

Crossing the chains also gives you more turning radius since the chain on the outside radius on the trailer end is actually on the inside of the radius on the tow vehicle.

The floor looks awesome brother. The chain being crossed does cradle the released hitch coupler and does prevent further damage. Now I have never found a trailer detachment to be from hitch failure. They have all been operator error. Most being from people using a 2” ball on a 2. 5/16” hitch coupler. Others are not hooking up the safety pin and then my favorite did not close the coupler at all. You and I are very alert to what can go wrong. But there are people that think trailer towing is just trailer towing. We fortunately know better.

This is probably going to be the most basic thing anyone has ever commented, but I want to thank you for doing a trailer walk through prior to leaving the yard. It took all of 45 seconds, but having new people/viewers see a good example of safety made easy, quick, and effective is so much more important than we talk about. People learn from examples we "more seasoned" guys set. I see far too many automotive videos on you tube that skip over the very basics of being safe.

The shop looks good , now you have to get the last part done or keep it for those “ messy” jobs . The last time I jumped out of my truck I was in my 60’s - that was the last time ever .
