Very nice looking figure! But I totally agree that pretty much anything Sideshow puts out should be like $150-$175. They have no business charging $300+ for figures that are clearly inferior to Hot Toys, InArt, JND, in terms of materials, engineering, likeness, and paint apps. It's hyper competitive out there right now.

Jorge! My brother, you just saved me $300! The funny bit is I don't know why I expected a different result. The thing is it's Cad Bane, a guy who is in my top 3 favorite Star Wars characters. I think that blinded me. Hell I bet most people took that leap of faith due to it looking so much like his animated self. I mean the look is spot on. But man, that doesn't mean anything if the execution is off. That leads me back to, 'I don't know why I expected a different result.' Oh well. That saved me $300 that can go towards my the other Hot Toys figures I have on pre-order. Thanks for the review my friend.

Yea its the character. He is such a cool addition to the Star Wars lore that I had to give this a try. But this is the last time for me. I'll just stick to Hot Toys for figures and Sideshow for statues. No problem bro!

My question is this, since when did it become 'okay' to spend $280 on an action figure only to 'Expect it to deteriorate" I can't get past that. I have 59-year-old Gi joe's that are still in great condition after all of these years. And these Modern Figures have a shelf span of close to only ten years? I don't get it! SMH.

I have hotttoy figures that are over 10 yrs old and sill in excellent condition and the ones I have that are that old are the Terminstor ones and a few others.

Before I say this, I think the complaint is completely valid, however there are many many ways to prevent deterioration. The problem is that at a certain point, certain materials cannot last forever without some care. When cared for regularly, a figure could pretty much last indefinitely, it's when collectors do not care for their figures that time takes its toll.

This isnt even surprising anymore. I only collect the older sideshow figures like clones and jedi from pre ~2015. Only problem i ever has is maybe the joints get a little loose over time. Ive gotten one newer one which was Luke with his 3 ROTJ outfits. Ankle joint broke, lightsaber broke, and every wrist peg was floppy. Never again.

See I was so worried about my Anakin Padme AOTC figures because of the whole experience I had with the original clone wars Anakin. Out of the box. He was just straight up broken. His leg joints completely dislocated. He sounded like a maraca. The gauntlet kept on falling off. It was just horrible.

What's crazy is SS makes the figures I want.. the clone wars animated figure but the cost + the QC fails in comparison to HTs. I'm sure HTs will do them at some point and we'll all be better for it The cost of 1/6 figures is getting out of control idk I'm but 1/4 what I would normally get due to shipping + figure cost SS should do a monthly subscription for free shipping lol

Invest in a resin printer and print it yourself.i did and happily printing and painting my own 1/6, 1/4 scale model diaramas and busts.

I feel your pain, thats why i stick with Hot Toys, been collecting for awhile and Sideshow 1/6 bodies have always been hit or miss, the joints especially are terrible for posing which is why when they get the soft goods correct you replace the body with a HT equivalent when ever possible which isnt always the case.

Send it back, but I have learned that as soon as I am happy with a figure I need to protect the paint with a Clear Coat especially the head.

I don't understand why people still buy 1/6 figures made by Sideshow they are overpriced and they have bad reputation especially for the crap body's they use. The last one I have its the Wolverine 1/6 and buy with points. the arms arrived with scratches they offer me $20 because they don't have parts for replacement one week later they have the figure in preorder again. Also had the Superman 1/6 and one arm broke then a leg and never posed the figure.

Action figures from SSC are always good to unbox, pose them carefully and never touch them again. The bodies are awful as hell, the joints are getting loose by simply look at them and they are fragile too (Think about the speeder bike). Statues are the thing to deal with sideshow, but the figures aren’t...

That's why I buy my figures used. Just plain cheaper and the figures from Hottoys and SS are NEVER PERFECT and always develop problems. Even Highly collectible figures can be found for cheaper prices eventually. Just be patient and you'll find someone willing to sell cheap. It's never worthwhile to pay full prices for any of these figures. The prices are just going up and up and while I'm not a crazy collector like some people...not even close as my collection is small...the high cost just adds up quickly. Go used go aftermarket.

The Hot Toys Book of Boba Fett Cad Bane looks amazing but I didn’t get it because I wasn’t really impressed with the source material. With the popularity of the Character and the Hot Toys Clone Wars line, I think a Clone Wars Cad Bane is a forgone conclusion. I’m waiting for that one.

I stopped after yoda was released because the price was not on par with the quality. Sideshow does make amazing statues and those seem to be on point but they really should lower the price of their 1:6 figures to half what they charge now or just get out of that game all together. Plus there are plenty of 3rd party suppliers that make better quality figures for less money than sideshow.

That is a hot mess. As far as Todo goes, that is really the character design issue. Unless it is really big, they can't make the parts thick enough. My 1/3 scale 3d printed one broke because of how he is designed. Too thin.

Where I appreciate Sideshow creating some of these six scale figures that hot toys is taking a long time to create the fact that to this day they can't find the right bodies to put these figures in and then to make it even worse with this scum and villainy line the amount of money that you want for these figures 280 I mean why would someone want to pay that when you're having some of these figures break on you so easily everybody had their share of problems with that broken Grievous and now 6 scale figures you still have a problem with

They did ok with Mythos boba but the body is absolute shit. I compare Sideshow to 3zero figs. Get the representation but with shit bodies and pleather that will flake in 3 years. But the price hikes are definitely not worth it when compared to other 3rd parties makers.

My Cad Bane was missing the rod and hold wires. Then my Alita Battle Angel, her outfit the fake leather effect over time is splitting on the top and pants. So the outfit is ruined and useless. Seems to be a common issue others have complained about. Their prices keep going up and I feel the quality is getting worse. Don't get me started on the silicone seamless body Hot Toys.

Don’t forget, that the HT Cad Bane is from the Mandalorian Series, while the SSC one ist from CW. So if you want to stick around with the CW accurate one, you sadly have no choice.
