Gravity in Toronto is actually 0.16% higher than Los Angeles. So assuming the 45lbs were calibrated to Los Angeles they would weigh 45.07lbs each in Toronto. So your 602lbs lift in Toronto would actually be 603lbs in Los Angeles.

Volume in conventional Deadlift is a one way ticket to back injuries. The fatigue builds over the weeks, and boom. Strained something. I've trained this way for 5 years. It doesn't work long term. Cycle your DL poundage, pull a top set, go bodybuild the assistance work.

Not just sumo deadlifts. There's also the smaller 130lb peeps with long arms. There's at least 3 of them in my gym who can deadlift over 4x their bodyweight (The highest was 4.5x bw in a meet). I'm not dismissing their hardwork and dedication because they do work really really hard to get there, but their deadlifts are relatively way way higher than their bench and squats.

Just ended my knee and shin workout week looking forward to next weeks. Also what's your opinion on supinated deadlift, if you can do them for chinups why not deadlifts?
@finallychangedthis
@finallychangedthis 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry I’m 11 months late lol.. but chin-ups involve elbow flexion, which is something you want to avoid when deadlifting because it can lead to bicep tears. When we supinate, we tend to try to curl the weight more so than overhand grip, which puts A LOT of strain on the bicep and can lead to injury. This is why most deadlift bicep tears are on the supinated arm’s bicep in mixed grip
