Boy, does this sound familiar!!! My romance scammer did the same stuff to me. I got so confused that I didn't know what was the truth or lies. I'm 75 years old, in poor health and my husband died 13 months ago. I guess these scammers think were easy prey. Its criminal what they do. Thank goodness I blocked and deleted them!!!

Want to say i greatly appreciate that your channel has genuine intent of Helping protect others and not profiteering as its main goal...of course im talking about social catfished whose main aim is to grow a business using scam victims. Sadly that channel who uses victims direct to camera and therefore preseves their personal humiliation into eternity on KZbin ( as well as their daily ABUSE in the comments section) is a LOT more popular than yours. I wonder if there is a halfway house format you could adopt that involves a direct interview but preserves the Anonimity of the victim. I am very disturbed by what scamfish / social catfished do and get praised by the ignorant public for. They even uSE victims who clearly have learning disability in a personal attack labelling her a ' racist' just cos she didnt want to date a black guy. ( jodi) they continue to use her as a " villian " figure in other videos. They are a scam industry parasite who further re victimise the scammed person. I would be so happy if a channel with ethics topped them.

I used to say “how can people be this stupid…” well to make a long story short I found myself in a bad relationship which ended not too long ago… and when I was talking to my brother about what happened and the basics of the relationship he pointed out much of the red flags I refused to see at first… remember… love blinds people to the truth.

@@ScammingScammers ok, My bad, geez. I am sorry, all these kinds of channels usually are made using those fake AI generated voices. It's rare to come across one with a real human voice, so that's great. I typically cannot stand the obvious computer generated channels and not watch/listen to them at all. Sadly over there they all believe in God. They think God send them These people & they call them clients instead of victims. Much, Much more reasons why I am athiest religion ALso doesn't any one use their mind & think instead of their hearts any more. Some of that equipment costs much.much more then they are a asking for if you do the research. Also the single person involved does not have to pay for the expenses the company does. At the post office. when the Machines break down. Do we have to pay for the parts & Such No we don't. Same way with Mcdonalds & other businesses They pay for it. Also if you are dating, You are not responsible to cover their expenses for their job or any other bills. The little girl was also the scammer too. In RL the lady would be old enough be her grandmother instead of mom. I think if people used their minds more Then their hearts. They would not be scammed as much. I am disability My self ,been hurt a few times I decided to focus on my hobby That I enjoy much, much more then People. I know I will never find the one & I gave up. Toy collecting Much, Much more enjoyable & Brings me much much more joy. I ask my self besides where were these people in times of my life back in school & such when I got bullied, Picked on & Jobs discriminated too. They weren't my hobby was. All I suggest is lonelinest is not the end of the world. Go find something you enjoy doing. Plus you have much. Much more money available too I know I never want to have kids my self. Not for me either. I also keep telling people tis. My self Honestly I think the Planet be better off with out us Humans.

After watching a few years of videos about romance scams, I have noticed that quite a large number of the victims are from small rural towns. It is not always the case, but it is frequently the case. And sometimes the victim may be in a large city, but They still have come from small towns and still have that small town-trust everybody-everything on the Internet is true mentality.

I don't do what is app, fake book, or any of those things. If someone wants to talk to me we can talk on the phone then maybe I will meet them in person. I don't reply to unknown emails or calls. Texting? No; I had a cousin who refused to pick up the phone and call me she just kept texting so I told her hey I don't text; send me a letter you know my address or you should. I appreciate this cautionary tale and I'm truly sorry there are lots of lonely people out there, but the answer is not virtual in my very humble opinion.

Typically they play a stolen video of the person they are pretending to be and dub over the video with their real voice. Often times the video is slow, the mouth is not moving with the words etc... as tech advances, some of them even create AI video with real time movement. At the end of the day, if anyone asks for money or gift cards even if the video looks real, just block em for sure.
