@@AhmedEtefy Windows is better for engineers (; Cant run a CUDA, Xilinx, or PSoC IDE on OSX (even when VMed). Altium, uVision, SolidWorks, also have issues running in VM. OSX just aint engineer friendly

Any particular reason you went with a 34" curved monitor for coding over a 38"/40"/49"? The 49" is, like, 4ft wide (LOL) and that would be great to have 3 windows across giving you coding, debugging, and testing. But then I'm also a photographer who's getting into drone work as well, and the vertical resolution on those ultra ultra wide screens aren't even really 4K unless you split the screen. The 34" just seems too small coming from two 24" IPS monitors side-by-side. I don't like to use my laptop as a secondary screen.
@AhmedEtefy3 жыл бұрын
Oh that's cool! Which does your setup look like? My choice to go for the 34" is solely based on how big my Desk is! The 34" Curved monitor is around half the size of my desk (maybe a bit bigger actually), and I wouldn't want it any bigger than that for aesthetic reasons lol! That being said, when I eventually upgrade my desk, I will probably go for either a 38" or 40"!
@lynneftw3 жыл бұрын
@@AhmedEtefy The size based on esthetics is perfectly understandable! My desk is a large mid-century wood desk that's around 33" deep and 60" wide. My two 24" monitors take up much of the desk. I'm considering a sit/stand desk that's 6ft long and 30" deep, so I don't want anything any smaller than the monitors I have, but I haven't found a good 38"-40" IPS monitor that professional photographers would use themselves yet.
@AhmedEtefy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah you’ll love the sit/stand desk once you do .. you’ll legit think how did I not have this before xd I’ve got a friend who does all sorts of photography and swears by the BenQ EX3501R. Not sure if it’s 38”/40” though, I think its 35” afaik
@lynneftw3 жыл бұрын
@@AhmedEtefy I'll check out that monitor. I know of the BenQ brand only by the dozens of "my desk setup" videos using the light bar, but I can't justify the price when other brands make the same thing?
@AhmedEtefy3 жыл бұрын
That’s a fair point.. I would investigate as well if that extra money is for something significant or if it’s just unreasonably priced for what it offers back
You just pulled a "lets compare a shitty android from 2008 to an iphone 12" moment there buddy
