Excellent! I like these new Torx bolts and I think it's very wise to replace these bolts once they are touched. Replacing the door strikers is something that also makes a huge difference. Even if they aren't rounded out they certainly can distort and it would be a shame to reinstall this failed bolt. I would recommend using well made hex socket tools- Stahlwille, Hazet or even Snap-on to remove these stubborn screws. (Not Pittsburg or Craftsman for instance.) Also putting a tiny bit of coarse lapping compound on the surface of the hex tool socket may help to prevent the tool from damaging the hex head. Hold the wrench at 90 degrees pressing in firmly, give the watched handle a good smack with the palm of your hand. These will sometimes break loose that way... If they don't then that ground down torx tool is a great option. Kudos! Such a great product. I think even if you are just adjusting your striker you should replace these bolts.

GREAT ideas. I don't have many expensive tools (e.g., Snap-On, Matco) but hex socket tools (and a Snap-on 10mm combination wrench) are some of them. Hadn't thought about the course lapping compound!! Thanks!

i've owned my w123 for 12 years and have never been able to get the doors to close just right. I have all new strikers and have spent hours on each door trying to get the adjustment perfect but no luck. I still have to close them hard. There has to be some kind of factory tool or method for getting this just right? Please do a video

on all 4 door strikers of my w123 the black plastic part that bulges out a little bit right beneath the copper hole is missing (its other hole, but square lol). because its on al four door i have the feeling its has been removed anyone any idea of why? or does this also happen through wear and tear?

Do you sell just the bolts? And are the rear strikers the same as the front for the w123/s123?
