My daughter sprayed water inside my 42 inch tv and damaged it, I spent a lot of money and couldn't repair it (even LG centre couldn't fix it), I had to buy another tv. One day, she threw something at my new tv, I flogged her silly. It's been years now, she never acted that way again..

THE BEATING WAS YOU UNLEASHING BOTH YOUR FRUSTRATION AND ANGER ON THE CHILD, NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU CORRECTING THE CHILD!
@asd_911Ай бұрын
@@baami8696So you think the child did not learn from the beating? You see how people play foolish pranks today and not expecting a human reaction? you'll learn the hard way, don't worry. In the real world, don't expect everyone to talk to you as a reaction.

@@baami8696 you can clap for your child when he/she destroys things, I don't spare the rod. I'm not like most of the ladies on the show.

Destroying items out of anger and spoiling items out of curiosity are two different things.Most of us spoilt things while growing up.Even things that are kept away from us,we would go and search for it. I want to believe,we ended up spoiling thise things because our parents never bother to give reasons for hiding those stuffs.We didn't know they could get bsd until when there would be break😂. Nowadays,when the child has come of age,you give instructions,do's, dont's and consequences. No reason is good enough for a child destroying things out of anger .

I really relate with what the woman in yellow hijab said. If you break the gadget out of anger, it’s punishable. If you break it out of curiosity, I ignore Encouraging a child to act out of anger is a wrong approach tbh. We may be raising an entitled and spoilt generation and we need to strike a balance to prevent this from happening.

The rod drives out foolishness!

YOU ARE PARTLY CORRECT IN THE SENSE THAT IT APPEARS TO DRIVE OUT FOOLISHNESS BUT, ONE THING IS GUARANTEED WITH YOUR ROD, YOU WOULD CERTAINLY END UP WITH A BROKEN CHILD....

We should not see the two actions as same, breaking things out of feeling anger. and doing things out of curiosity . There is a difference
@judithhassan8637Ай бұрын
Some curiosities are silly and should never be encouraged. If a child is curious, he should ask more of questions than acting based on their curiosity. What if the child had set fire to the house or tv just to imagine what would happen? Stop encouraging rubbish in the name of curiosity pls. Know where to draw the line and encourage children to ask questions. I can never get tired of answering a child’s question. The one I don’t know, we will explore it together Abeg

There is no context to bad behaviour. Destroying stuff because you're angry is not acceptable. And because you can afford to replace it doesn't mean you should encourage bad behaviour. Breaking tv is not exploration, please!
@ubilicious1887Ай бұрын
Nigerians! We can be very funny sometimes. Look at these ladies trying to contextualise to the nth degree Bovi's statement about his son breaking TV's. Smh. Anyone who saw the Bovi's clip knows he said what he said very clear with no ambiguity of any sort. He made it clear his son breaks TV's "for the fun of it", and they are trying to insinuate he did not really mean it that way. Una get problem sha.
@princechiji3207Ай бұрын
Dovi's view is flawed! You can afford the TV. What if he one day sets the house on fire at night? Can you easily replace everything in the house? Can you replace lives, if lost? It's not about money. It's about values! It doesn't have to be beating, but there must be accountability and consequences!
@baami8696Ай бұрын
I SEE WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM AND, I ALSO GET YOUR SENTIMENT, BUT, IF ONLY YOU TAKE INTO CONTEXT WHAT BOVI SAID, THERE WON'T BE NEED FOR THIS... TALKING ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY AND CHECKS AND BALANCES, IF IT WERE THAT LINEAR, THOSE THAT HAVE RAN AND ARE STILL RUNNING THIS GREAT COUNTRY AGROUND WOULD HAVE MADE THIS COUNTRY THE TRUE PARADISE IT IS MEANT TO BE...

Hi Tope, your outfit is lovely! However, since this is a family TV show, perhaps a slightly more modest style might suit the setting better, considering the diverse audience watching. Just a thought!
@baami8696Ай бұрын
SORRY, PLEASE WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I HAD TO GO BACK TO CHECK WHAT TOPE WAS WEARING TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE ON ABOUT BUT, I STILL DIDN'T SEE IT. SIMPLY PUT, THERE ISN'T ANYTHING WRONG IN TOPE'S TOP. IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERN, YOU COULD HAVE LOOKED AWAY OR ASK YOUR KID(S)/WARD(S) TO LEAVE THE TV SET OR BETTER STILL, CHANGE THE CHANNEL (ALTHOUGH THAT WON'T REALLY HELP THEM). IT WAS SO UNNECESSARY FOR YOU TO CALL TOPE OUT THE WAY YOU DID; TOPE WASN'T REALLY REVEALING ANYTHING THE WAY YOU MADE IT SOUND... PLEASE, IN FUTURE DO FEEL FREE TO LOOK AWAY...

Yes, thr shoulderless is a bit too much for a family friendly TV. Say whatever you want to say. She needs to check her code of conduct and abide by it. 🤷♂️
