You’re so lucky you achieved this before SotE came out. I can’t even imagine fighting the final boss of the DLC without getting hit while also being full of adrenaline and anxiety due to the high stakes.
@minerman601014 ай бұрын
In theory you'd just speedrun killing Mohg and Radahn, getting in the DLC, and going straight to its final boss before doing the rest of Elden Ring or doing the other games

Squilla you'll always be a legend to me. You were one of the first challenge runners I discovered yeeaars ago when I first started playing DS1 myself and I'm happy to hear your private life has improved so greatly

What i admire about you is your dedication and appetite for life. So many people, myself included, just don't really have that spark (or just ignore it). That's why you're so high performing. Crazy souls challenge runs are things normal people can't even conceive of achieving. I think they represent a good example of the sort of thing we can accomplish through hard work and persistence. I have no doubt you'll be making similar waves in the much more congested world of music, and maybe I'll pick up some content creation tips from you along the way

Other than your runs, I've been really enjoying your opinion/ranking and analysis videos like this one. Thanks for the fun content. Also glad you're taking care of your mental health.

I can relate, gave up gaming from the age of 25 to 37 to enjoy life and I don't regret a second, but then I saw Bloodborne bought myself a Ps4 and now at the age of 43 I can't stop playing these games. Wish days were longer so we could balance things easier. Good luck on your future choices, and tks for all the content. 👍

After I played ds3 for the first time in 2019 and started watching souls related content there was a year or so where when I fell asleep listening to KZbin the algorithm would end up auto playing hours and hours of your marathon runs. So what I’m saying is your voice is now my conscious and I think I subconsciously learned enough to take up your legacy. In all seriousness I unplugged from the internet to avoid shadow of the erdtree spoilers and just finished it and I’m satisfied. Very satisfied like I’ve been binge eating because I have. Last year was a banger for gaming and I’ve been nonstop binge gaming and with shadow of the Erdtree being done, the rest of the year looks slow and I think it’ll be a nice time to fast from video games and this video was such a nice push in that direction.

This video had sort of a nostalgic vibe and I dig that. I've been watching your twitch channel since the times of dark souls 2 pvp streams. I never knew we shared so many hobbies in common - skateboarding, guitar, fitness training (calisthenics in my case). I believe our similarities is why I fully understand and respect your decision. I know that people like me, who get bored with a single activity pretty quickly and need to constantly receive new stimuli to feel engaged and happy, perform the best when switching between their activities often. In short what I mean is, when you take a break from something and come back, you suddenly perform and feel much better, seemingly for no reason. I guess that's just how brains work and we should listen to our "inner voice" more often. I wish you good health, everything else will work out on its own :)

Honestly you making the content that you feel passionate about is the content that I want to see. It makes it feel more engaging and meaningful as a viewer. If its this type of video, a PvP montage, or a marathon run. If it is what you are passionate about at that time, I am confident that it will be a good video and enjoyable to watch. Keep doing what you are doing.

A topic I think would be really interesting would be to focus on the community: why is there such a huge desire/audience for watching other people play these games in extremely challenging or wacky ways? The audience for this type of content has grown massively over the years and I’d be curious to find out why. Also, as a side note, been watching you for many years and I am glad to hear that you are in the place you wanna be 🫶

I may be an outlier, but I tend to dislike such marathons. Their scale increased to such an absurd levels that, somehow, it feels less impactful now than when only DS 1-3 were included. This may be just me, but I perceive such runs as more of a "I spent 2000 hours to beat this arbitrary challenge" kind of deal rather than anything else (especially since people already beat the previous games, adding new ones doesn't really change that). Also, e-drums are cool.

I’ll play the contrarian. As someone who has done hitless but individual each game. It’s actually not that impressive… Both in the fact it’s a recipe of guides that people have tested to let anyone follow. And MORE IMPORTANTLY that this is a completely a “human concept”. The game itself gives 0 rewards for doing this (and neither should they tbh). Just look at the rule sets and our strats. RTSR, leaving ourselves 1 hit away from death. And all the player intended damage to reach that state. Or the realistic look. In IRL do we feel bad for using shields? While some like to point at shields, truth is they aren’t given up for the sake of the rules, but rather they are a non factor cause the most optimal build for damage has nothing to do with shields. I know the appeals, I’ve done hitless… But if we become “intellectuals” about this, then this isn’t as much a practice of skill as it is of patience. Dark Souls 7 will be part of the next marathon and the marathon will be done. But that won’t be a “humanity peak achievement” but rather an achievement of patience by someone with a wholesome community while they were streaming the game for a couple months (pointing fingers at the great Dino here).
