They turned out amazing, Billy. Great job!! I'm sure you'd be able to sell them without even trying!! Tip foe the plugs - align the grain of the plug to the grain of the project. You'll still see them, but they'll look uniform & have a more finished look. Have a great week, both you and Shelley! Tony - 🇺🇸 California

They really look so nice. I also love your finish choice. It was great to hear that you say that you make some sort of mistake on most of your projects. I thought it was just me that had that problem. Thanks for sharing your work.

Great job as usual I know what you mean about always in a hurry I have to discipline myself as well I enjoy measuring out the individual pieces I do take my time over that part then I see the finished result in my mind then it’s a rush to see it finished Greetings fae Scotland 🏴

I’ve never done a pocket hole in my 3 years of wood working and I never will. 2 little tips for you, one is a pilot hole with a 2 mm drill bit ensures a perfect Forstner from both sides no tear out and 2 use a playing card on the piece when you cut off the dowels thrn use a chisel to pair the little bit off, doesn’t even need sanding I do love your ideas one I’ve seen this week and one I’d love you to have a crack at with your antiques background is a vinyl lp holder
@thewoodjunki23 сағат бұрын
I’ll do that with a 2mm bit .. thank you👌 I’ve got loads of ideas going forward I just need to practice more first, I’m wanting to do some old school joinery techniques 👍🥃

Hi from West Cornwall. These are a nice project and thanks for the honesty about the snags you hit, it makes your footsteps less intimidating to follow! Merry Christmas to you both.
@thewoodjunki10 сағат бұрын
Hi fella, yes it’s good to get the mistakes out for everyone to see and the ways of working round them.. definitely something I’ll be showing more of 👌 Merry Christmas 🎄
@MisterJ568 сағат бұрын
Didn't know 'till the end where you were going but I liked them. You can also use them for plants or candles. Making mistakes is part of learning how "not to do it" (for you AND for us). Btw. Why don't you attach a sacrificial piece of wood on the fence of your Makita. This will reduce the tear out a lot. See you next time.
@thewoodjunki6 сағат бұрын
Yes I could of put a sacrificial fence and I’m gonna show more of the mistakes I think it helps everyone 👌🥃🇳🇱🇬🇧
@MisterJ566 сағат бұрын
@ Note: You don’t have to show “on deribelately mistakes” on my account 🤣😂. Just genuine !
@thewoodjunki5 сағат бұрын
@ I know that 🤣🤣 I make plenty of genuine mistakes so easy to incorporate them
