Jesus is a middle man, and he is there so that we cannot be deceived and be led to God. Its like saying why did Jesus pay for sin, and why did the Holy Spirit encourage the writers of the bible to jot down important things can we can use today. Besides there is no middle man, we can directly go to God, but Jesus leads us to the true God.

Yeah, among black people. Pro-black is automatically anti-white. Its like saying there is a God just for black people, I believe Jesus was not white or black, he wasnt a slave master but He showed us the way to God. You need to talk to your pastor.

One of the reasons people misrepresent God / are confused about God is the horrible translation errors in our bibles made by clerks of "a certain denomination". They had no clue about God's intend, so made it fit their conviction. Luckely the original line is clearly visible. 1: God created us after His own image and likeness. Gen 1:27. 2: Man fell. That is what you see in this world: lust, greed, selfishness, strange philosophies, sicknesses, corruption, terrorism, death, etc, etc. Genesis 3. 3: God, the spirit of life, manifests fully in Christ, pays the debt for mankinds fall so we can be indwelled again by His Spirit and be transformed back to origin. John 14-17. Pure grace, love, power of God for His creation. Hence the divine healing miracles and casting out of demons His first friend, i and many others experience up to this day! Some examples of these idiotic translation errors. Saved, from the Greek Sozo actually means: made complete, brought back to origin. Eternal life from the Greek Zoë means: life of God, divine life. "You will see Jesus coming on the clouds" actually reads: "You will perceive Jesus from a heavenly perspective"... who He is, what He did, who you are IN Him. "Everyone not found in the book of life will be thrown in the lake of fire" actually reads: "Everything not found in the book of life....". Every lie we believed about God and ourselves will vanish through Jesus's truth. Wrath from the Greek Orge means PASSION. So there is no wrath of God upon mankind. God IS love! Wrath from the Greek Thumos also means PASSION. There goes the "bowls of wrath" poured out by God over humanity... it's "bowls of boisterous PASSION" through Chris that are poured outt!!! Etc, etc, etc, look it up in the Kittel Theological Dictionary or in any Greek/Hebrew Strong's app. It's there. So now we have ignorant preachers parotting the lie that we have to be saved from God's wrath by Jesus (who is God....) and "have to repent or go to hell". Utter nonsense. In stead it is: God restores us through Christ by His own atoning blood sacrifice and indwelling Holy Spirit, from mankind's fall, to His own image and likeness (Christlikeness) because of... passion. For God so loved the world.... God cannot be tempted to do evil.... There is no turning or shifting with Him.... If you don't love you don't know God, for God is love.... The goal of all instruction is... love The Father Himself loves you.... Jesus healing all..... love Jesus raising the dead..... love Jesus casting out demons.... love Jesus controlling nature..... love If wrath would be in God, it would be the tenth fruit of the Spirit.... and it is not! Etc, etc , etc.

I left the church when I was about 21, but I can't imagine having had the courage to speak publicly about this deep inner, 'conflicted' private process at that time! we really do need to hear each other's stories, and to speak our truths to one another in safe spaces, in order to find the affirmation and strength we need to reject what doesn't resonate, and to choose a spiritual path that may be different than everyone else in our family! I thank you for your courage, for sharing your light, and for using your voice for the healing of many!

Hello same here.. I want to start a new journey onto hinduism since it has been a drawing within me since I was younger. Sure I believe in Christ but also other good beings who I thought are manifestations of that one divine being of God that reminds of love self realization and more also I don't like the heaven and hell theologies it hurts and angers me the most but my new path is hard to embark because of well not hurting the people i love..

@@aahanajasmine7649 I love that you speak of looking to Hinduism, as I too have found much 'balm for my soul' in the retained 'divine feminine' that is so strong in this tradition! as a yoga teacher, I incorporate mini-lectures in my (zoom) classes, to help my students and myself understand the practices in the context of the broader mythologies from which they arose. right now in fact we are contrasting the 'Abrahamic' tradition of creation stories, with the Hindu stories of 'mother-earth, father-sky'. revisiting my biblical roots as I prepare for these classes is really helping me to see from new (and higher) vantage, and to heal from the distortions of the 'father-god' only image of divinity that I grew up with. (and yes, I agree that the idea of 'hell' is absolutely horrible, and has caused so much trauma and suffering throughout the ages!) maybe you 'embarking on your path' will actually HELP the people you love (and not hurt them)?

I do still have doubt's on if people don't except christ god won't see them as pure and time is up if you don't accept in your lifetime yet I still believe that god won't do such a thing and reincarnation (giving us multiple lives to perfect ourselves) will be much more merciful then giving us a final judgment after gifting us free will different philosophies of thinking to things. Sometimes I wonder when that soul is in "hell" crying how does god feels does he cry too? Why did he give us free will? If he knows half of us never listen why did he give birth to us to then go there? To me I think he loves us too much even if people didn't except Christ or prefers islam Judaism sikhism orissa and have a strong connection to it and a love of practice for it shouldn't be having to hear they will go to hell if they don't accept Christ or Christianity

Thanks for sharing, I was in your shoes long ago. I stopped going to church at 14 and left church completely at 17. I have never been happier. Looking back, if I did stay I wouldn't be where I'm at right now spiritually.

I started my journey 19 years ago. When, I started this journey, I felt all alone. People, including my family, looked at me, like I was crazy. My purpose was to get a closer relationship to the Creator, by studying and researching. I thought, that it was Something we were supposed to do. Little, did I know, I wasn’t supposed to be questioning certain things. I was suppose to, just shut up and believe. Well, that didn’t sit well with me. Fast forward to 2019, and I am thankful for the journey, I began years ago. I have a connection with the Creator/Creatress that’s amazing. A connection, I would’ve never gotten, if I stayed in religion. It brings me great joy to see other people, awakening. Thank you for sharing. I came into a new understanding of the bible and left my home church/religion. The one thing I was always searching for was truth, and the Lord saw that deep desire in my heart. I never wanted to be a robot. The hardest part was seeing my mother so hurt, and not being in that social safety net that the church is. It is very isolating but I just remember that there were people like Noah who were walking alone. I know there others out there like me but I have not found them yet. It forces you to truly take your salvation into your own hands and rely on the creator.

It shouldnt be scary for you, embrace christian faith, and stop focusing on eternal punishment, but more on the love of God. People have to be punished and it doesnt have to be you. Fear tactics are not good, it doesnt matter, partnership matters. Jesus said He is the only way to The Father.

I needed this. ♡ I feel closer to God now in my spiritual journey than I ever did as a Christian! I always felt lost and unworthy which made me think I was "doing it wrong" I'm definitely believing that religion was created to control people, because if we all knew we are made of the same energy as God and we can do anything we set our minds to, we would be uncontrollable! The Power of Now and A New Earth are both amazing books!! I left the church over 10 years ago. I believe in God because I make mistakes and have struggles that my relationship with God gets me through and helps me let go of a lot of stuff, and people i need to release. My relationship with God started when I was a dancer, yes a pole dancer. He got me out the mess that came with that life. After I stop dancing I started going to church, I learned some things, got a husband and we started working downtown with the homeless. after that assignment was over we attended a few churches that we couldn't connect with and after my husband was told by the last pastor we served with that his church was a republican church, we said goodbye to church. Our relationship with God is more presonal now. In church, people are always saying how you should act, what u should say, how you should say it etc.. God will let you be you. His help for you is about love, not judgment, nor will he put you down because you desire sex or any other natural or crazy thing. He will help you get control over your desires so you can rule them and they not rule you. When God told Adam and eve to be fruitful and multiply, he put away in them to make that happen. He's there to help you deal with all your desires, if you what him to. God respect the free will he has given you, so no pressure. I talk to him about things the church would tell me was wrong. My prayers are answered, and when I ask God what's going on in this crazy country he gives me an answers I can see and understand. Salvation isn't a team sport. When you get in a difficult place or die, it's just you and God. God has things for you that are not for me. He will lead you to people, places and things he will not lead me to. Your relationship with God belongs to no one but you. It's not going to make sense to others oftentimes but that's ok because he will confirm his leading to you in the why he communicates with you. I love my relationship with God, it's like having a secret friend and helper no one but me can identify with. That's what it means to have a personal relationship with God.

Thanks so much for your honesty. For me it was the list of "Do's and Don'ts" that made me feel inadequate and further away from God. Finally I decided to leave church, not saying everyone should, but I needed to be uninfluenced and sort myself out. See in the beginning I was sold out on the unconditional love and safety in the Saviour. Although having good intentions, when churches preach law it becomes a whole legalistic religious organization that robs us of our true identity and freedom that we are supposed to have. What I found is that religion says "Fix yourself and God/we will accept you" while the Gospel is supposed to be "Come just as you are and I will give you righteousness/(okayness) as a gift". Religion says "You have to work hard to stay forgiven and right" while the true Gospel is supposed to be: "With a single sacrifice I have made you perfectly accepted and irreversibly forgiven forever". Religion says "God is in love with a future version of you" while the Gospel of Grace is supposed to be: "God loves you as you are right now unconditionally and is NEVER GOING TO CHANGE". Religion is a bunch of rules to follow as a prerequisite to acceptance versus the Gospel of Grace is supposed to provide immediate irreversible acceptance which will produce the "works"/performance over time, but our performance is supposed to be SECONDARY to the "Work Christ did". I am watching videos of people sharing their journey in regards to leaving the church. 7:28 where you talk about how it didn't feel right when Christianity was attacked entirely is something I also identify with. When you stand in the middle of Christianity and Atheism, you get it from both sides that you're only in the middle because you're weak and can't make up your mind. I realized how important it is to stand your ground when people attack your position. I don't mind thoughtful dialogue but most people on either side have never practiced such a thing. There are antagonizers on both sides. Atheists attack Christians and even agnostics. I felt that Christians largely ignore Atheists but come down hard on believers who don't attend church or follow what they consider to be Christian. They do this because they are aware of the guilt/fear laden programming we all went through as Christians so they still count on us having the same weaknesses to draw us back to where we used to be. Part of the growing process of letting go is learning to be okay with being largely ignored by the family we left and probably the most painful part of our journey.

There is a difference between following Religion and doing all of the things that check the “boxes” e.g. going to church, and having a personal Relationship with Jesus. Yesterday I had the craziest experience. I was so deep into psychics and tarot crystals ect. I was catholic growing up. Then I started getting into spirituality and went deep into a rabbit whole. I was always looking for answer from my spirit guides and highest self. But dear God yesterday I had the craziest experience I felt god touching me I felt Jesus, it was as if he told me to snap out of it I cried I felt ashamed of my self I literally felt him forgive me. Bless your mum...She's a Christian who knows that salvation cannot be enforced upon someone....it can only be received as a free gift by one who is willing to accept it. Going to church doesn't save you nor make you a Christian anymore than sitting in a field makes you a cow or goat or whatever animal your sitting with. Our God is gracious and does not wish that any person should perish but should come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. (not the forced acceptance of Jesus in Sunday school/church/at the dinner table). Keep seeking earnestly. God is a gracious and loving God who reveals Himself to those who diligently seek him.
