Great vid mate, I've pretty much done the same to my quinine 3.9 explorer. Paid $3000 for it with an 18hp Tohatsu . Suprisingly gets up on the plain easily with all the extra weight I added to it and gets me to my fishing spots. I opted for the watersnake bow mount as it suited my budget. Had it for 2 years now, use it just about every weekend and never skipped a beat, touch wood. When it dies I'm going for a minn kota with spot lock.

Hey mate, I just watched the part about your hatch's getting a bit mouldy. If I was you I'd chuck a couple of coats of polyurethane (I really like Cabothane) on then give it a light sanding and paint it black after that. Polyurethane is a really durable finish 🤙

Mate it's been a fantastic motor! I had a 2009 25hp Merc before and that never let me down either! Such a good solid motor and local to me if anything goes wrong. Thanks for watching legend 🤙

You need to vent the fuel side of the rear pull out section as electrics and fuel dont mix ...kaboom

Sttick a 4blade prop on it if its a non bigfoot you should look at a1012if its a bigfoot a11.14 much better holding and torque go genuine spitfire x4

@@sandytrackxfishing2810 i had so many issues with props on my new mercury i had 4different ones till i got onto propellor repairs australia talk to yan a genius and only use oem props as i had 2an aftermarket one and an oem merc same pitch diameter and the oem was far superior its a 60big foot and i run an 11x13and a half in a 4blade as i couldnt go any bigger motor insurance wise i had to go for the prop angle for ocean work and it solved all those issues regards i like your presentation and your boat im a boat enthusiast and builder modifiyer good fishin mate

Haha it eventually soaks through but the cheapest and easiest options for most haha I'd ally the whole deck but would be 4-5 times the price unfortunately would shed alot of weight!
