My Stage 3 BMW M140i hits the 1/4 MILE!! *Didn't go to Plan*

Back after 2 weeks! So I took the M140i over to Santa Pod to test it on the 1/4 Mile. Was my first outing in the car so was more occupied with learning how it behaves/launches, however the trap speed wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Ofcourse we found out later it could do better, but let me know your thoughts below! More content to come.

@@gareth2842 100%. If they made such a massive improvement, companies would develop their own in the same style. The fact BMW designed a stock airbox the way it was, for the M140i, means it was the best option for the car. A cold feed to an enclosed air filter is always going to be best. I made the same mistakes years ago with open cone filters thinking induction noise = more power doh ...

stock rims holding you back. Shave at least 4lbs(1.8kg) per wheel ditching stock rims for 18" apex with a little more width. Doesn't sound like much, but that translates to removing 160lbs(72.6kg) from inside the car. Also let you get up to 265 Toyo R888Rs back there.

@@TRHamza don’t forget tyre weights, everyone always talk about wheel weight but not tyres, (tyres are more important as the rotational mass if further from the centre of the hub. if you looking to stay on road tyres give goodyear super sport f1’s a go in 245/35/18 there 1kg lighter than ps4’s, also budget lightweight wheels bolas new flow formed range are pretty light for the cash!

I love Santa Pod don't get me wrong, but sometimes you end up waiting in a queue for so long, even up to an hour just to get a run in that it takes away a lot from the experience. Definitely more convenient to take the trip to Mexico, at least for me it is 😎Great video as usual bro 👍🏾

The evening slot on the same day wasn't too bad to be fair. 4 runs in 3 hours. But agreed, Pod like to take their time getting people down the strip, feels like they stop too often too. A few KZbinrs there on the day - had to duck and dive so as to not get shamed by their cars on video 😂

nice times mate. pretty good 1/8th miles too considering its rwd with so much power too. yeah the queues were imense but i did expect that after the lockdown. i was just happy to be there tbh though. the TTRS is mine. best of the day for me was a 10.5 at 133mph. i only got 3 runs too

Great content as usual Hamza,the two things that absolutely shocked me was the lack of real power,and secondly that eventuri,all the pure turbo cars I've seen run the standard airbox,one had afe scoop which made the sound glorious as well as being cost effective,something not quite right at the moment but knowing your content, I can't wait for your corrections video,nonetheless great stuff mate....

Out of interest, what does that say about the Eventuri? Are they more liable to heat soak than the stock air box ?

Yeah on a hybrid turbo, as they said they only designed it for stock setup. It’s the open element of it causing the heat soak I believe. As the Supra B58 Eventuri intake is closed
