My Stalker Gamma Settings for Best Graphics and fps!

After the update there is no more reshade I had to reinstall gamma and it didn’t install the reshade which one we should use

The new launcher has a box ticked called reshade you have to reinstall the launcher and turn off the delete reshade box

I'm trying to re-install GAMMA on a fresh Windows 10 installation and having so many problems 😔 First was Windows blocking a .dll, then I get a wacky crash as soon as I try loading into the game with a fresh Stalker. I deleted everything and downloading latest RC3 --- really hope it works!

@@The_Man_In_Red the guide have already mentioned that you need to add Anomaly and GAMMA folder to exclusion for Window Defender

The grass shadows switch definitely has an effect on the visuals, and should be compared with it on/off. Also the distant shadow culling's effect is very visible on trees at medium range at sunset or sunrise, it culls the shadow drops on trees and cause shadows to pop-in. About the AO settings: SSDO - Game's own implementation HBAO - Nvidia's HDAO - AMD's If I recall correctly, the SSS mod works better with the SSDO.

FYI, If you are using the SSS, ES or Atmospherics mods. SSDO MUST BE SELECTED or else the shader mods wont work. Regardless of your GPU (AMD, Nvidia).

About the "distant shadow culling", if you ever have an issue where you aim down sight and some shadow disappear and appear when not aiming, its this setting. And i also think that its not really cost much performance or too little to notice

for me the problem is whenever I start a fresh game it runs alright but then after a while like maybe 10 ingame days the game starts giving random crashes, stutters, and loss in fps

One thing about GAMMAs graphics that is killing me is weird/bugged shadows. Shadows in the distance and on the sides of my screen form multiple lines like someone tried shading a drawing. It's somewhat connected to SSS shadows cascades but resseting everything to default doesn't seem to fix it :v

Thank you so much! For me GAMMA was running at 50 FPS & I checked the Reshade Menu and Immersive Anti Aliasing was turned off. After I turned that on, I set Anti-aliasing & SMAA in the ingame settings to off. Now the game runs at 70 FPS 👍

Got pretty much the same specs as you. However, my frames dip to 50s even low 40s at Rostok and the bandit base with the same settings. I'm assuming you're running with avx on dx11 as well?

Can you do an Nvidia control panel guide? My Anomaly conversion uses similar environmental mods to Expedition and Gamma. It sits somewhere between Anomaly Custom and Expedition as far as environment goes.

Tune down the interactive grass and you will get some more frames if you are CPU limited. I now I saw about a 4-8fps increase from dropping the max interactions down to 4 instead of 8, and then dropping the interactions distance to 1000. IMO 2000 (and even 1000) is really excessive as most times you wont be able to see that far, so its just wasted performance. Even if you have a pretty beefy CPU I'd still turn it down because with the whole game limited to one core its just adding more work that it has to do and you don't really notice any difference unless you have the grass HUGE and dense.

I just turned off body dot’s on minimap because i thought it was a bit cheaty to see if someone kills something 500 meters away from you. Turns out body dots still show up as long as it’s your kill so i just keep it off from now on

if your playing in 1080p try playing in 1440p i use dsr in the control panel for nvidia and the jagged edges on the trees are more crisp and looks clean

Update your game to the latest version and delete shaders dll as its no longer used and get more fps (also make sure that you have the meat chunk addon enabled)

I think they felt it didn’t help enough to make up for the FPS loss, I could be wrong though. You can always add it back in through the launcher

If motion blur were implemented well, it'd make a huge improvement to how smooth looking around feels but it's being applied equally everywhere. It needs to exclude your gun and hands and just apply to the environment. Motion blur being crap is a relic from the past. Modern applications are way, way better.
