How are we "black americans?" What shows up in our DNA is who we are. Our ancestors were stolen fm the continent of Africa. Being born in a place makes one a citizen. We are america citizens (not by chose), with Africa blood lineage. I understand bad attitude should not be tolerated, but bad attitude is across the world. This is where division and discord shows up. This should not be...we have every right to be in Africa. Kannaland (Canaan Land) was given to the children of Jacob. Are we not the Southern tribes scattered to the 4 corners of the earth? This is the 400 years as prophesied by TMH to do HIS awesome work to gather his ppl and bring them back to their land. When we locate to Africa you only hear, it's affordable but what is affordable their vs. America My concerns are that when certain African countries knows the price of Americans over priced rentals or buying, the price is increases and what you are trying to get away from you're running into the same issues. The name never changed from Lagos Town to Accra New Town. The two names were used interchangeably but nowadays it has become more Accra New Town. I grew up in in Accra New Town. The Yorubas there tend to speak Ga a lot because majority of them are married or are half Ga half Yoruba. That is the same with places like Zongo lane and Cowlane in Accra Central

Not sure what you mean? However, my accent is likely to be a blend of a Midwest and Ghanaian. Living in the two places for most my life has it imprints. My accent being one of the. We must be true to self it depends on what is going on around you, the topic of discussion and to whom you are speaking with the accent just dives deeper to that which it is familiar with. Especially, when you are speaking passionately about something then people you know very well will either say, their she goes speaking like a foreigner and that goes both ways. I don't really listen to myself (what I sound like) unless it is something like this, which I don't do often. Not sure I was brought up middle class or any class for that matter. Just a happy childhood with normal challenges.

You may not know, Ghanian and Yoruba have a long history of relationship before Nigeria was created by the British. Big Ada, Ada, Dome, etc are all mixed of Yoruba people and culture. These folks are Yoruba and Hausa Who have migrated from Yoruba and Hausa land to different parts of west Africa which include Ghana. Yes the origin of Yoruba and Hausa is Nigeria but these tribes of Nigeria have long history of migration to all west African countries. I have friends who are Ghanaian and as time they are Yorubas. They speak Yoruba and Ghanaian language but they claimed Ghanaian nationality because they were born in Ghana and their second or third grandparents were Yoruba migrates from Nigerian. We also have these types of Yoruba in Togo and Ivory Coast. The Yoruba of the Republic of Benin are the only Yoruba out side of Nigeria that doesn’t claim Nigeria nationality. The Republic of Benin Yoruba were captured slaves from the Dahomey and Oyo war. Oyo is Yoruba city in Nigeria while Dahomey is the former name of the present day republic of Benin. Dahomey defeated the Yoruba Oyo in that war thereby taking large numbers of Yorubas as slaves into Dahomey Therefore they become citizens of Republic of Benin and still kept their Yoruba culture and language till today. The Hausa are more spread out in Africa than the Yoruba. Hausa migrated as far as Sudan and Palestine into Saudi Arabia. Sudan has more than five millions Hausa whom the Sudanese called falata. Most of these Hausa in Sudan cannot trace their family back to Nigerian anymore yet they know they are Hausa and still speaks Hausa language.

@@alfabili3148 That was a beautiful piece of history you rendered there. Kudos! I love history. Could you expand further on the Hausa migration, just as you did on the Oyo and Dahomey history. I mean, how come such a large number of them can be found in Sudan. You said in the Yoruba case, they were captured due to war. What caused such large migration amongst the Hausa?

@@alfabili3148 I don't need all these epistles for me to understand that there is nothing like Ghanaian yorubas. I know for sure that Ga people of Accra are from Benin kingdom. Period.

@@eddieokojie5425 Thanks for the complement. The migration of the Hausa people to as far as Sudan is as a result of the Muslims holy trip to Mecca for the hajj. The trips are done on camelback and usually takes months to complete. After the completion of the hajj some of these folks decided to settle in Sudan probably to be closer to Mecca should they decides to perform another hajj. It’s May also be because of the good hospitality they received from the Sudanese people. In fact Sudanese are very nice people , l say this from experience, my Sudanese friend always reminds me about the five millions of my people living in Sudan. They called them falata. The major reason for the spread of Hausa through west Africa has to do with the coming of Islam to west Africa and the big empires from Mali mansa Musa and finally those empires originating in the area known as Nigeria today. I wish I could give more details but I can only provide the little l can remember from my secondary school west Africa history.
