So I just want to throw out there that this was pretty much my first ever KZbin video. And so I’m very sorry if you can’t focus because of the music. I was just trying to get my story out there, so that I can hopefully inspire and help others! 😊 thanks everyone for all your support!

Im now at the end stage renal failure.. Doc say but I don't feel any symptoms they talking about dialysis but I say I'm OK .until now I'm waiting if I feel bad then I'll goo.. I'm little hard headed pt. What sign before you done dialysis.. Thanks if you could answer.

Rosemarie Galap if you don’t want to do dialysis look into alternative treatments. There are many people here on KZbin talking about it. When you get symptoms is different for everyone but most people will have symptoms in the stage you’re in. Again I would look into alternative treatments.

mayhmmaydn In 1999 my mother had a heart attack which ended in kidney failure. She was on dialysis until her 89th birthday in 2014. I was with her the entire time and I thank God that He gave me the honor of caring for the most wonderful woman I ever knew.. in May the day after Mothers Day, I woke up at 2am as I had for many years, began getting our truck ready and mom announced "I'm not going" the first time she'd ever missed. She died in her sleep that same night at 9pm, I saw her take her last breath. I still cry over my mom pretty regularly, I can't help it, I miss her. My best friend.

Thank you for your video. I am 22 and have been in renal failure for the last 9 years. It is less lonely knowing others are going through what I am facing. In the matter of the last 2 weeks my creatine went up to 12 from 3.5, I had tunnel catheter and pd line placed... and then received a kidney within 2 days of line placement. It has been a very crazy and emotional time and I am so grateful for the gift I have been given. Your story gives me hope for the future. Thank you!

Hi Hannah. Im glad i watched this video. I have CKD too, and as you know, even post transplant it can be a rocky road! I recieved my second transplant April last year, and had my first transplant kidney removed 2 weeks ago. Like you, im a pretty upbeat person, and take most of my kidney and other health issues in my stride, but im finding the years have taken their toll, mentally, and I struggle with anxiety. ...thank God for horses! I started riding a year after my first transplant, and stopped in 2010. Ive been back in the saddle for 6 months, and it keeps me sane! Struggling to keep my chin up at the moment though, and im hoping its just because I cant ride, run, or do the things i do to cope. Apart from that, its been one amazing year, and watching your video has really helped. Thanks for sharing xxx

Hannah, thank you for this video! This is really motivational and hits home for me. I have been battling kidney disease for 6 years now, and now have End Stage Renal Disease . I started dialysis in February of this year and so far it's helping me out, but I'm still not back to 100%. Up until August, I was unable to walk because of this, and still have to use a wheelchair at times when I don't have the strength to use a walk with a walker. I hope to get a transplant from a live donor and I hope and pray everyday that I can have a decent life and live for a while still. Your story has helped me a lot and it's really making me more hopeful and positive on my journey. I found your video as I've been starting to document my journey on my youtube channel as well. Congrats on your live donor transplant and God bless you Hannah!

Thank you so much for sharing this. It hit me hard. I was born with kidney failure and had my first transplant at 1 year old. My donor was my mom and it lasted 25 years! Then I had some bad labs and found out it was rejecting. Like you I didn't even feel bad, couldn't believe what was happening to me. But it got worse by the month. I lived over a year with a kidney function below 10%, I lost 30 pounds, I was pretty sick. And I was literally scheduled for fistula surgery the next week and when I found out my aunt by marriage was able to donate and approved. I received my second transplant September 16th 2015. And I wouldn't have gotten through it if it wasn't for a special friend who came into my life when I needed one most and created a support group for me. Then 4 months after the transplant I was diagnosed with lymphoma. Luckily that was treated. Then last year I had a hip replacement because the prednisone I've taken for so many years wore my bone away and I needed a hip replacement. Again, that went well. What hit me was you you saying no matter what you face over and over never give up. Cause like you I've faced so much over and over. It can be demoralizing and depressing to say the least. And I'm in the process of writing a short story on my expierences so that I can maybe help others as you are on here. Thank you for sharing your story and I pray for continued success and kidney health! Keep kicking ass and thank you so much just for sharing your story! I only hope to do what you did here.

I was diagnosed end stage chronic kidney disease in 2016, it’s my third year now on dialysis. On my first year, I was suppose to have a kidney transplant but after the stress test they have found that I have blockages in my heart artery. So, I went to a by- pass surgery. My dialysis still on going, and still waiting for a kidney donor. In and out at the ER for the last 2 years for a retained water in my lungs, low sodium, infection in my blood, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Thank God! I’m still here!

@@occupantneighbor9967 I was diagnosed with stg 3 CKD 6 months after I retired. I started feeling like I had the flu, no energy, etc and it was some time before they figured out the issue. I admire this young lady for the courage and love she demonstrated throughout her years to her transplant. She's going to be an inspiring teacher. the diagnoses has really punched me in the gut so to speak. For whatever reasons I just don't have the energy/initiative to do anything and my life nowadays is nothing like I imagined it would be upon retirement. I dread stg 4 w/ the dialysis. It's really difficult to be positive anymore.

God bless you young lady. I suffered from tons of kidney stones with up to 50 kidney related surgeries over my life which started in the US Army. Then, a Dr went through my back to clean out the kidneys of stones but they didn’t know they nicked a renal artery. After two weeks of hemorrhaging I was bleeding out faster and almost died. The next month in Intensive care and a bunch of painful surgeries. They stopped the bleed but it killed 75% of the left kidney. After several years, that kidney started dying so I had to have surgery to remove it. That was around 2009. Now, my only remaining kidney is in Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 2. I’m 56 with a daughter of 15 and another of 5. I worry about leaving them too early. Btw, I proposed to my wife in Zurich at the New Years Eve fireworks party. We traveled through Switzerland and loved. We hope my health is good enough next year and the year after to take our girls to Switzerland. I hope the best for you.

That is so amazing, that a donor came forward. It is a HUGE act of generosity. Without this donor, things would be very, very different. The kindness of this donor is to me, the BIGGEST point of this video. It is nice to hear about what you have done and that you are better but really, without the donor, nothing would be happening for you. Maybe through your excitement, you really are not communicating how much this donor has done for your. She now has only one kidney and there are only a very, very, very few people in this world, who would give up their kidney for someone else. Hope you have a great life!

I mean I get what you’re saying. That she seemed more focused on getting the kidney than the sacrifice of the woman giving hers up. And the great pain and grief she would go through after for not having two kidneys. But she’s a kid and I think all she saw was life. She gets to live again and that excitement prob took over a lot of things. I don’t think she wasn’t grateful. Just over ran with happiness.

My mother struggled with this disease for years. She had a transplant in 2001 and in 2010 the donated kidney failed. She went back into dialysis shortly after. I grew up around all of this, and I know what it's like. I hope you don't mind me sharing this video with a Facebook group that I have created, in order to spread awareness on this disease.

Emusedone well put 😃 like Hannah said it was her first KZbin video so she was trying out a few things. Like most people have said it's her story that is important not the fact people don't like the background music. Simple solution.... DON'T listen and there really is no point in even commenting about it either. You are a VERY strong young lady and it's great to see and hear your positivity 😀 I hope that you are living life to the fullest and your health is much better. You are truly an inspiration to all xx

Hello Hanna, I write from Brazil! Beautiful story to yours! I also discovered a few months ago that my kidneys are working at the moment only 12% and falling rapidly. I'm taking care of myself and I've already been on the list to wait for a compatible transplant! God bless you!

I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I am sure many people in this situation search out information on the internet to help with their problem, or get motivation. I have been looking for positive information for a few months now, and just stumbled on your video. How you did not break down during your story is amazing, because I certainly did. You are so strong, and I am glad God stepped in and saved you, so you can share your positive story to people like me, who are facing a medical challenge for the first time in my life. I know stage 3 is no where near as bad as what you had, but there are people out there afraid, confused, and looking for someone or something to reassure them that there it hope. You gave me hope, and I appreciate you so much that words cannot express. Thank you

Very inspirational story Hannah,I got diagnosed with IGA nephropathy at age 8, they hit me with steroids, cytocin treatments and got my kidneys working again, I was fine up until last summer I started a downfall that I didn't notice until November of last year, I got to the point I was seeing double and still trying to function normally thinking I was just sick, started dialysis, got on peritoneal dialysis for the convenience of having more free time. I am required to have a fistula for safety reasons but hopefully I'll never use it. My cousin is a match, I'm now 23 and hopefully will be getting the transplant around January if all is well. Thank you for being such a spirit lifter on a day that I was feeling down. Feel free to message me.

anubhav pal # thear is a reason big pharma dose not want any cures ever. $ money more money nothing but money. As a medical student you're only getting a big pharma education. You can cure end stage kidney disease. Using sodium bicarbonate. Your body makes sodium bicarbonate. When your body stops making it, causing the problem with your kidney failure. You can go to KZbin videos and get more information on natural cures. Thear many master herbalists and Doctor's who know how to cure all diseases. Thear is a natural cure for all diseases. Just remember that big pharma dose not want any cures ever.
