I think it's pretty awesome that their Vivint cameras caught so much on video. They may have needed proof of what happened, share w/ their family/friends, any number of scenarios could crop up. I have Vivint too and have been happy w/ their service. They are always very kind, courteous, professional, efficient, etc

Love our Vivant cameras. My husband was robbed at gunpoint in our driveway. Caught on our cameras. Helped to identify the robber. Clips used in court. He’s serving his time. A repeat offender won’t be out for a long long time.

@Kristen O'Neill has been my BFF for more than half my life. She is my sister! I tell her everything! I love my Vivint camera. It has captured stray cats, squirrels, birds, a tree frog and several would be thieves!! Thank goodness this couple are okay!! 🙏

I’m glad he and his wife didn’t contract Rabies as it is virtually 100% fatal. But how is it because of Vivint? Vivint didn’t stop or shoot the cat, it just recorded the incident 🤷🏽

Thanks Soo much for sharing your story. God bless you and your wife and I am glad to know that you both are ok. The Vivint system is exceptional and shows very clear. My husband and I love it because it captures everything! The system even captured how our letter carrier threw my package on the porch that was clearly marked as fragile. And when she threw it, it toppled of the porch and into the grass. She was so shocked that she had a surprised expression and came back to place it properly. We were very disappointed but no damage was done to the product. So yes, Vivint is a great investment for your home.

So how did paying Vivint $500 change anything about this interaction or lead to a better outcome? We've never been able to arm ours for more than 15 minutes without false alarms. Of course Vivint doesn't want to repair it without us paying a lot of money. I would let everyone know to avoid Vivint, you can do much better elsewhere.

Happy everyone is alright, we're also Vivint customers (7 years) but .... what exactly did Vivint do to help this situation besides video tape it to make a virtal video ? It didn't call Animal Control or the Police for them, it didn't alert them of the presence of the Bob Cat. Just saying....these companies showing off "stories" and some how correlating it to their brand is a bit ridiculous. What if they also had a RING doorbell (as I notice we only got footage from the Mounted Camera) and RING posted the exact same story as a "Ring - My Story"

Some Supposedly Vivint sales employe came to my door a few weeks ago with a clipboard and the Vivint logo on a T-shirt. The first words out of her mouth were Hi I’m from Vivint do you have a home security system. I told her it was none of her fing business and to get the fing off our property. She stalled and I told her to walk away and don’t look back and she is trespassed and will meet my shotgun on return. So Vivint you are trespassed from my property and if you return you will be held till the cops get here.

@@Chris_at_Home what red flags? You yourself said she introduced herself first, then asked the question. If she was forcing herself in your house, that’s a red flag. I’ve had salespeople do exactly how she did it. Introduce themselves and ask what kind of security do I have or what kind of internet service I have. I ask them to give me a card & literature and if I’m interested, I’ll call “them” back. Don’t call me, I’ll call you 😂 She would’ve gladly given you her card or credentials if you asked for it. Sometimes if I’m caught off guard, I’ll just say, I don’t live there 😂 I’ve also put “No soliciting” signs on my door. My neighbor across the street has a “No trespassing” sign. Believe me, I totally understand what your saying. You can’t be too careful nowadays.

Wow that was crazy. Ours has captured raccoons, foxes, rabbits, but no rabid animals! My favorite Vivint footage is when one of us trips and falls. We always get a good laugh.

Seen this happen a few times in CT. Bobcats eat skunks and groundhogs, both of which are high risk rabies vector species. Very scary. Luckily that was a small one. Seen ones upwards of 35lbs attack. It was much worse.
