Flat Iron Deets:
My flat iron is a steam focused flat iron, which means it's MEANT to add steam TO the hair as it's being straightened to help provide moisture and aid in preventing heat damage. I ordered this flat iron over a year ago on Facebook. I also have older videos giving more details on the flat iron.
I flat ironed my hair on the highest heat setting - 200.

Like you mentioned cousin I learned about the chase method here in KZbin and it’s been a game changer for us!!! But honestly then it really DOES come back to me like riding a bike lol But then I also flat ironed my hair every week without fail for like 4 years when I was in college before I came back to my curly hair journey. Sally’s. I wouldn’t recommend it for this method because the bristles are super harsh, that’s why I stopped using it but if you don’t have fine strands you may be fine!

I would love to be a straight natural. Cause I look way too young with my natural hair. My hair is fine, medium to low density but high porosity. It is so high in porosity that my edges broke from heat styling once a week and now I don't use heat. I do twists and braids to deep condition 2 Times or more a week. Seems to be working with the help of castor oil. Am I a cousin now?

Lol I got it from Sally’s. I’ve had it a long time but I think it’s called like a “teaser brush” or something like that. I wouldn’t recommend it for this method because the bristles are SUPER harsh, that’s why I stopped using it but if you don’t have fine strands you may be fine! ❤️
