Thanks! It's a cool device and definitely worth a try, despite my being harsh on the subscription model 😅

These tech companies love dropping big updates right after I get my videos out. 😅 Thanks for letting us know!

Loved the video! I have a Apple Watch 5 since the launch and I wanna get something more “new” to track the features that whoop does. In this case I think I’m going to subscribe for 1 year and then see if is worth keeping it or not. Right now for arround 200€ sounds like a good deal since would be way more expensive to get a new Apple Watch for Garmin. Eventually whoop 5.0 may come up and I will get for free since I will be subscribing what is pretty cool.

Thanks! I'd agree that a 1 year subscription is the sweet spot to get the most value and decide how to proceed after.. that is a big "Pro" I didn't touch on too - free upgrades! 😂 Let us know how you like it if you do get one!

Whoop has added steps tracking as of this month, how accurate is it? Does it track blood oxygen saturation and heart rate all day?
@tylerjellis25 күн бұрын
The steps tracking doesn't seem to be extremely accurate since Whoop measures this using an accelerometer rather than a pedometer. For what it's worth, "steps" is a bit of a vanity metric to track versus something like how hard your heart has actually worked, which is much more meaningful information. Whoop tracks heart rate all day, but only tracks blood oxygen saturation at night. 🙂

Galaxy Ring is $400. Oura is $300 (+ subscription). Whoop subscription is $280 I believe, device is free. Most people purchase wearables every one to two years. At the end of the day it'll end up all bring around the same or cheaper

I think it really depends on the person. I like both devices, but I almost lost my Oura Ring in the first few days, so in that case - it would wind up being a lot more expensive than the Whoop band (which can be replaced for $75). Another HUGE factor (which I forgot to mention) is the life cycle of these devices from an upgrade standpoint. Both current models have been around for a while now, and an upgrade could be right around the corner - Whoop sends the upgraded version to users for free, whereas Oura would require a new purchase. Definitely something to think about. I'll actually be uploading a video today where I do an Oura vs Whoop comparison - I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. 😁

I also don't like the supskription model but you get the new band if it launshes

Yeah, the free upgrade to new models is actually pretty great. Don’t have to worry about battery getting weaker over time or anything like that.

people always fail to mention the device is free. An Oura ring is $300 + sub
