I know that video must have been difficult for you. ;-) You are the proof that the controller doesn’t matter. For new fighting players it s not easy to get into the game and it’s even more difficult to understand which controller is the best for you. Since I started with GGST, I bought pads, stick and a hitbox. Thanks to you I feel like I have the right to play pad ( which is my favorite controller). There are so many videos, advertising around those expensive stick and hitbox that people are convinced that they need those to get better. So thank you to make pad a legit way to play fight games.

Everyone has heavy kick set to RT/R2, and I’m vibing over here with it as LB/L1 lol. I’m not actually sure why it’s set to that. It might’ve been when I had to use V-trigger and refused to use my middle finger to do some weird combos. But when I started playing Cammy, I had to get used to using my left finger rather than my right for specials. It was an odd thing to get used to lol

I am the most comfortable playing on it lol thats literally it, also motion inputs are a lot more spammable on analog stick since its a fast motion

@@Akaraien that's something nice to read, because most of the people in the FGC tell to use the dpads instead and you're a pretty good player even using the analog stick, awesome

⁠​⁠@@AbsalaoMonteiro’m in no way as good as Akaraien, but I also use analog stick. I was shocked recently to find out that apparently that’s a no-no in the community. But I can confirm I do just fine. Have gotten to high levels (top 10%) in some games using analog stick. There are some inputs I do struggle with but in general I actually find d-pad to be harder.

Im using a junkfood button box and its great but i think this game probably benefits from a controller because you have parry and di macros or say all kick macros for ken run combos.

@lateef7212 the dpad is kinda meh, I don't like the membrane type dpads tbh, they just degrade fast. But it's a solid pad. 2nd best out of the ones I've used. But the analog stick is decent as well. I just can't use the analog

I use xbox controller and although I like the analog, i do wanna try out some dedicated fightpads like the octa. I jusy got plat on an 8 fight win streak so that means im getting better! Time to start looking for what the pros use 😁

@markmessi9020 I like the analog stick. It's not clicky, but it has the same sensation as an octagonal restrictor plate on a fight stick. But I mostly stick with the dpad. I love the octa, I highly recommend it.
