Mmmm, I think I dont like my imperfections, but... maybe... accept my house a little bit messy sometimes? Walk slowly, try to be kind or have a good relathionsip with everybody? ( no healthy sometimes).

Reading Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport and deleted all social media apps except KZbin and WhatsApp and already feeling so relaxed, those every minute notifications were killing my time like crazy, I didn't even knew how many hours I was putting into these manipulating apps. Now replacing it with Books and other useful things. Good Content. Subscribed 🙂

Hi Conni, you make me smile. You remind me of my daughter. I just read a quote today that I love. "The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it. Henry Throeau

Labels suck. I just do what I think that I should do to improve my life. The mistakes that I've made in this life can fill a very thick book, I just try not to dwell on it too much. I, too, have a lot of digital clutter but a lot of it are photos that I refuse to delete. Other stuff is 'watch later' on KZbin .... lol ... And I never have the time to watch it all. And now you've given me another KZbinr to follow, Kraig Adams! Hahaha ... Anyway, I do the (audio subscription service) thing to listen to books and other stuff which helps me to keep physical clutter to a minimum. I can get overwhelmed with all of it, so I just ignore most of it and move on. I'm always donating things. You've given me more to think about and the 'tools' to help me move my life further in a positive direction. Thank you! I'm always in improvement and simplification modes, if that makes any sense. I think and plan a lot, especially during slow times at work when I'm unable to listen to audio books or pod casts. Thank You, again, Conni! All the best to you!!

The ocd obsessiveness sounds a lot like me 🙊 My husband isn’t minimalist but he was homeless for part of his life so he likes the things I find unnecessary

Conni, you’re a minimalist at heart. You have the mindset, the commitment and the right intention. That’s the most important! Love this video, especially the part about perfectionism. We shouldn’t aspire to be perfect all the time, we are on different levels depending on our set of priorities... hugs from the Alps!

Hallo Conni, Thanks for this video and your honesty! I follow your vlog and think “Man, she nails it” and then I see my own struggles regarding minimalism, zero waste, daily meditation and yoga practice etc. Your video reminded me that we are all just humans, trying our best to live a kind and more mindful life. Life is constant change with ups and downs. And we struggle. And that is okay .... Danke dafür!

Great perspective, Conni! Thank you :) And yes, with regard to your question, I noticed it's rather difficult for me to love my own imperfections. However, what I like about them is that they teach me something, show me which way I should go (i.e. learn and get better), and they challenge me to love myself unconditionally as well as forgive myself when I make mistakes (again). And I notice I'm getting better at it - in the end, accepting our imperfections is the only way to gradually soften them and improve.

Enjoyed listening to this Connie. Minimalism is different for everyone. Jùst go with your own flow and never live up to the expectations of others. The words we hear from others - 'You should.....' or 'You must'. Let it be like water off a duck's back. Neither compare, criticise or complain. We are all people on our very own and different paths in life. Slow down, own less, live simply and follow your dreams/ gut/ intuition. All the best to you and your partner. Much love from Switzerland.

It's interesting that in trying to escape our preoccupation with things via becoming minimalist, some of us end up fixating more on what we're trying to escape. I look at minimalism as more of a philosophy, a way to simplify holistically (thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships) to ultimately live intentionally.

Totally agree with you. I've thinking in how social media tend to influence us in every concept or decision, also when we appear walking against the others. Nothing have to be like it is showed on screens. We are free to make things by our own way. Regards from Brazil

Yes, the labeling... just stop and say, i am... you have great videography skills, would love to see more content about your travels, the ocean/nature. & such! I started watching your videos because you're unique, not because you're a minimalist. So just be you and don't explain it. Thanks for your content!

Girl, FEELS. I try really hard not to put my vegan minimalism on my partner (who is neither but has definitely cut down to mostly veggo and was probably already a near minimalist). I became obsessive and perfectionist prettyyyy quickly. I still struggle, but it's better then before haha. Working process.

Hallo Conni. Alles Liebe.
