My stupid del Sol leaks! How fo i fix this?? Hints inside

omg you are a life saver , have a delsol for 8 years now and been trying out soooo many things to make it stop leak but still did and also thank you so much for talking about the type of seals , i could not find a difference physically until you mentioned it ., turns out i already had the right seal and bought the bad ones LOL now i know thanks again !! : D

You can also adjust the window. There is a screw inside the window channel that sits about an inch below the sill. It's a plastic screw that can turn with a philips screwdriver to adjust the angle of the glass.

I can see the water stain marks on your driver seat. I've experienced the same problem from rain leaking in. Try using some "tuff stuff" upholstry cleaner. It will smooth out and nearly eliminate those stains. You'll be pleasently surprised. Tuff Stuff...It's great stuff.

Thx. Yup I'll eventually get to it. The stains were there before I got the car so no idea when the seals were changed.

Check your door latches too. Welds cracked on mine and door won't completely sit flush

Yep i was about to say the same thing. That rattle when you close the door is a dead giveaway.

Lube the seals with shin etsu.

It was done by the previous owner but sound good. I'll be doing a sub woofer eventually. The last owner took his back.

Also the install isn't bad. In the oem setup for tweeters (it's about at the same place) is connected to the lower speaker

@@connectordude81 Not sure about that. Mine's a '94, basic 4 spkr setup. I'm looking into getting a compact all in one sub like the Recoil SL1708 400 Watt 8" Under-Seat Slim or the Soundstream RFMP8.0 propped up behind passenger seat or, Alphasonik AS12DF 12" 1500 Watts 4-Ohm Down Fire Shallow in trunk. OR...very small component subs in a 2nd hole in door, opposite end of hinges. Just don't know. The more I explore, the more unsure I get. {;-)

@@J01466 del Sols seat has less than 1 inch ro 2 inches under it. The sub won't fit under it. You can mount the sub behind the seats out (I'm tall) and would not fit behind the seat. So I need to put them somewhere on top of the pockets or in the trunk or a custom sub enclosure

How do you fix the latch? The part on the car itself is cracked on my car and is bent in a bit, how do I fix that?

What part the inner or outer? Or the latch for the side of the door?

@@connectordude81 the part on in the door jamb which latches the door shut. It’s bent outward and there’s a 1cm gap between the quarter panel and door

@@NovaZocket52 you will need to have that part rewelded. A body shop can do the repair. It's a common issue as the cars age
