My Subaru STi is now FBO! | Killer b Headers | Grimmspeed Up pipe | Turbosmart EWG install!

In this episode Troy and I complete the second phase of the preparation for the tune! We install Killerb's 4-1 Holy Equal Length Headers, Grimmspeed Up Pipe, and Turbosmart 40mm EWG with a 14 psi spring! Yeah I'm losing the rumble a little bit, but all in the name of efficiency!

Flex joint on the up-pipe is actually a good move and if someone says otherwise they have no clue what they're talking about During high loads that header/up-pipe flexes a lot and the flex-joint helps with the twisting, you're saving your pipes thanks to it.

Agreed, I was actually gifted a solid up pipe but had to give it back because I just didn't want any issues. To be far though, the car that the hard pipe is installed on is still holding up, but had a minor issue with some flanges warping.

Dont spread bs info. I've been running Tomei header and solid up-pipe since 2013 without any problems.

@@matthewt.5941 Every ringland failure i've ever seen involved a cobb accessport, flat billed hat, gauged ears, and a vape mod. No you shouldnt push your stock sti past 350hp and expect it to be fine on cast pistons....

What gauges do you have? I’m at stage 3+ and just ordered Perrin header and grimspeed EWG. All I have is the Cobb Accessport to monitor

you definitely need a pro tune for these bolt ons.

ots tune should only be used to drive your car to your tuner to get a proper protune

Question when you took your uppipe out did it have the egt sensor on it have a 2018 sti and going to be changing mine out and want to know what to expect.

No, its bolts to the hot side of the turbo from the bottom, and at the headers

While that was a minor concern of mine, I'm happy with the end result. You can't hear anything except the EWG on WOT anyway, and it sounds amazing.
