I was surprised their signature drink was $10 less than the pool drinks at Harrahs! I wonder if those are real orchids in the entrance tunnel. It looked heavenly. Worth the price just to walk through!

London Hakkasan Hanway place was the first in the world. Hard Rock Cafe Hyde Park Corner/Piccadilly was the first one in the world. Pool on top of the Berkeley Hotel. If you would like drinks at the American bar in the savoy. Let me know.

If you are coming to Europe then goto Ibiza as well. Take the boat down the Thames from central London to London city airport. British Airways have a flight on a small jet to Ibiza that is inexpensive. In Ibiza there is a hard rock hotel and an stk restaurant. If you are not into electronic dance music then there is a big chill out scene like cafe del mar to watch the sun go down.

I love Hakkasan. It's absolutely, without question on a higher level than Tao. I haven't been to the one in Vegas but have been to the ones in London and in Abu Dhabi. It's so much fun, great vibe and while the food isn't perfect it's absolutely very good and they have some very authentic Chinese dishes, more than people would expect. Have to remember that the original Hakkasan in London still has a Michelin star and has for about 20 years. Tao is fine and I enjoy myself when I go but Hakkasan has both a great energy and very good food. Restaurants coming from London really have done a great job of creating scene-y venues that legit feel high end.

I'm heading back to Vegas at the end of September. I'm staying at Wynn but going to head down to MGM Grand one evening for dinner. Was thinking L'Atelier de Joêl Robuchon but this video has me intrigued about Hkkasan. If you were to go back to one of those two, which would be your first choice?

The wagyu foie gras dish just needs some caviar! I always thought it was just another overpriced Japanese places like Nobu, but this place is pretty legit. Thanks for this review! I'd say it doesn't quite reaches the level of Joel Robuchon, Le Cirque, or Guy Savoy, which are artistic expressions like an opera, but to be enjoyed with sight, smell, and taste. Mizumi in contrast, is overpriced, pretentious, and superficial. I'm glad they rejected me for wearing my Birkenstocks.
