Tip: Creatine on (Sprint) anaerobic days(I call it fast-twitch days) are game changing. Also, the water retention from creatine in my experience is very dependent on your training. Your body learns to not carry unnecessary weight based on your training over time. But most importantly, TIMING your supplements correctly pre, intra, post, off/on-season, is key, the same with everything diet-wise.
@deet2440 Жыл бұрын
I don’t know what kind of creatine your taking but just load it for a week then 5g a day. It just stays in your system so it doesn’t matter when you take it.
@jc5604 Жыл бұрын
this is a fundamental misunderstanding of creatine supplementation. Creatine is not a pre-workout. Creatine is a maintenance supplement. No loading required. Just 5g a day whenever you want for as long as you want. No need to cycle. Your training regimen has no affect on your water retention, either.

How does this work if you’re going to selection? I’m assuming it won’t work and you’ll crash? Since we’re not allowed to use those during the training
@jt5938 Жыл бұрын
@@theotherside1159 these supplements unlike most drugs are merely catalysts in a way. It helps you get to a point of fitness, but has no withdrawal effects. Think of it like sugar, if you implement sugar before exercising it would surely help, but the body still resorts back to its natural stored fuel at some point. The goal is to train your body up to a point of high self-sufficiency.

Sounds like a lot of fun, Ive got a background in arnis with various others added in. Id gotten some of the cold steel escrima sticks for the same reason as even the better rattan sticks start to fray and cause slivers with use. With creatine try to get Creapure form of creatine monohydrate. Maybe harder to find these days.

I would suggest creatine HCL instead of mono, it won’t create bloating. Kaged Muscle is a good brand imo if you want the benefits and not any negatives

Have you ever heard of the heartbeat zones? I’ve heard that understanding these zones are key. Certain zones will break down fats better and certain zones will use protein more than fat as energy. Maybe you can run and add muscle IF you workout in the right heartbeat BPM zone.
@colinstewart1432 Жыл бұрын
I've heard it's approximately 70% of best effort. Essentially it's a pace you could sustain indefinitely.
@Rnx-lt9hw Жыл бұрын
@@colinstewart1432 as I understand it it’s actually in the 50 to 60 percent range. If you’re at 75% your body is burning mostly carbs because it is easier to break down than fats.

Hey Gritty had a question for you...I'm looking at going to RASP whenever I reenlist, and I was on supplements for a while before I joined. Whenever I went to basic a little while ago, I ended up feeling much much weaker, as to be expected, but I'm wondering would you still recommend a supplement stack if i know I'm not going to be able to use it at places like RASP, Ranger and Airborne? I'm wary of getting used to it and feeling weak and like garbage during RAP and so on.
@BrickTemplar Жыл бұрын
I think that’s the purpose of those schools. You need to know how to feel weak but soldier on in a battle. In everyday life, your goal will be to build muscle faster, recover sooner, and improve, and supplements can keep you motivated and full of protein even if you forget to eat something useful.
@deet2440 Жыл бұрын
For rasp you don’t have to worry because you’ll be in pre rasp for about 2 weeks to an eternity so you’ll be off of supps for that time anyway. (Locker inspections regularly and contraband is insta drop) just take creatine and protein. Pre workout is nice and you’ll lose any dependency during pre rasp anyway. Just focus on your run time being around 35 mins
@henryhaley727 Жыл бұрын
@@BrickTemplar Yeah thats what I was leaning towards and why I've been supplementing Its just not going to be fun 😂 thank you

Hi Sir , you know what works the best when putting the Body to the test . It is great sometimes that you do some Ultra Running .In The Ranger education not to overdo the training . Invest also in the Future when you will be 70 years old that you can do great training . That takes allot of disciplin to training to a level Ranger Training and then be content whit that . That is not easy it takes allot of willpower ,to follow the routine and then to be ok about the training. That is just a suggestion . Remember what gifts you have , your basket whit stones ,take care of your all gifts , maybe you are supertalented in some hobby and you dont have the time for that Hobby ,ore other gifts you have . Sometimes when being on that High Level Athlete , that happens that the person is trying new Goals to succed for the Motivation , and starts to going on Super Boost for a long time . Instead the person can focus on recovery and processing what the person been doing ,having stress free days . I am telling the Greatest Masters are doing that , having that disciplin to the best recovery so the body and mind can heal the best way , that is an ongoing process to find the perfect Path of training, recovery . Greetings from Helsingborg Sweden

Since you do alot of endurance training have you seen any effects of dehydration due to the supplements? Couple of the Army schools I have been to, not Ranger level, put an emphasis on no supplements due to dehydration. Lastly since I have more gray hair than I used to the GNC Tri-Flex has been a win for the joints. LOL

Irrelevant to this video, but relevant to your pathfinder video: I am both Airborne and Air Assault, and used to be in an Airborne unit. Since then I was sent to Germany and sit behind a desk as an NCOIC. Should I re-enlist for pathfinder school? Would I even have a chance of getting it? Next time I arrive in an airborne unit I am more than likely going to be a Jump master. I considered Ranger but I have a newborn and have been hella undisciplined with PT the last year or so. Was it giving you issues? At 50+ I take a low dose (2.5 grams) daily to give the intracellular mitochondria some extra fuel for better workouts. Works well without putting a heavy load on the kidneys. I want to get my 80 y/o father on a low dose creatine as well but he drinks to much coffee which flushes out the extra hydration that creatine holds in the body. But I think he would benefit from the mental increase as well as the brain uses creatine also.
