When they take your blood pressure sometimes the cuff is too small which will cause the blood pressure reading to come out high. Ask if they have a large cuff if you hear the Velcro’s pealing apart when the machine is pumping the cuff up. I often get a lower reading if they retake my blood pressure using a large cuff when taking my blood pressure. Hang in there I was diagnosed with a TIA a short while after I turned 50. You will make it. Thai wives are excellent care givers. I have one that has been taking care of me for 45years. God Bless you guys.

Sending you much love and light and positive healing thoughts. I had some rather extensive sinus surgery in the early summer of last year. Corrected some abnormalities and extra growth that started when I was a child. Anyhow, once you get the stints out, as I imagine you will have in your sinuses after the surgery, you will be amazed at how much better you will breath and feel!! Will be surprised if we see much of you for several days! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Chuck, that blood pressure is high because you are nervous. I have the same problem. So don't worry about it. When that happens to me and I go back home from the hospital, my bp is beyond normal. We call this white coat hypertension because of hospital anxiety and seeing the white coats and the sanitization of the hospital setting. Good luck, my friend.

Hi Chuck and Paige - feel for you. Anxiety will raise that BP. I went to my Doctor 2 years ago with breathing problems who promptly sent me into the hospital (first time in my life) where I had to have a triple by pass (kept in 5 days) then 6 weeks recuperating. Certainly put a perspective on my life. I think your surgery will defiantly make your breathing so much easier and look forward to your speedy recovery. I broke my nose in my late teens & after having it reset, I had similar issues with breathing on one side of my nose after breaking it again. Got surgery in 2016 in te UK & it has been superb to be able to breathe in the warmer weather, I had surgery in the PM & was discharged the following morning. I hope your surgery goes well Chuck :)
