K. Super cool song!!! The ONLY time I have given money (im mostly broke) on KZbin was to buy Johnny Juke a coffee for the Doghouse song. But this one was awesome too. You are a talented dude. Ive been lurking around your channel for years and years. We once got 'disconnected' somehow but I resubbed asap. So, I gotta say that this was the most I learned about you in all these years, and I found it interesting. I really like the talking in the woods stuff. In fact, i rarely watch those big name silent asmr type bushcraft videos. "I wanna knowwwww" whats on your mind. Ideas, thoughts on knives and kit etc. I find that stuff most interesting, personally. K. Awesome vid, kid. 👍

I remember bar codes being scanned in the eighties. And I survived without a bank debit card.

Hey man, I just wanted to let you know, I really enjoyed this video. Every aspect. I enjoyed the somewhat sarcastic approach to how some define "survival". The coffee, the stove, the gear used, the beautiful piece of woods you chose to shoot it in. All of it. The song was, please don't take this wrong, a pleasant surprise! You always hear people claim to be musicians and when you finally hear their music, well, let's just say it's pretty rough. Not so with you. I would have bought your record and cranked it proudly! You're very talented. I don't remember when I first found your channel, but it's been awhile now, so, thank you so much, for all the years of clean, high quality, educational content! Carry on sir! (Oh yeah, you dig Killer Dwarfs? Your song kinda reminds me of them!)

Hey JJ ( may I call you JJ?) this is a totally off topic question, but just wondering as a long time knife user and aficionado, if you could put your two cents in on the subject of "behind the edge thickness" and "toughness" related to Rockwell Hardness. It seems a lof of knife channels that I used to enjoy watching, now seem to have a hard on for these subjects. I can recall when S30V was the latest and greatest, but I can also remember that my Benchmade that had that "Super Steel" was the biggest pain in the ass to get back to a useable edge. I am probably stuck in the "early 2000's" because my daily user is MT blade made from 420HC, daily fixed blade is 1095, and both are excellent at what I need them for, but I just cant understand the hate Thank you for your time, and BTW talking in the woods is excellent! (Plus, we know you are not dead).

"What you need them for". You party answered your own question. I could take a "stab" at addressing your question on a table top perhaps.

@@JohnnyJuke :Hmm, thank you for pointing that out about me partly answering my own question. I watched this video after watcing said channels that I referred to. The content creator was just railing on knives made from 1095, and that "no company" should be making knives that aren't HRC of 60 or greater, not 13 thousandths BTE or less. I am scratching my head at this elitism mindset? Sorry, thank you for allowing me to vent.

Gotta love those keyboard rambos. They probably couldn't live in their back yard. Everyone needs an oh shit kit. I spent 4 days lost in the woods without a proper kit. All I had was a hunting knife, a lighter, and a life straw bottle. That SUCKED. Building a decent shelter with just that knife was a nightmare. Signaling with just smoke and my voice wasn't fun either. Nor was having just that one bottle for water. I've since built myself a very nice oh shit kit for hiking, hunting, etc and then if I'm on the bike, I have even more stuff to help make a f*cked up situation more bearable. Obviously I hope I never end up in that situation again, but if it happens, I'll be more prepared this time. I've also learned a lot more wilderness skills since then
