I had to look up the Swedish measurement for DL. I found this to be helpful: Here we have listed converted measurements that will help you convert from cups to dl whenever you need: 1/4 cup = 0,6 dl eller 4 msk 1/3 cup = 0,8 dl eller 5,3 msk 1/2 cup = 1,2 dl 3/4 cup = 1,8 dl 1 cup = 2,36 dl 1,5 cup = 3,56 dl 2 cup = 4,74 dl 3 cup = 7,1 dl

The way you speak and converse in three languages is impressive. You sound like a beautiful melody. Oh, and the subtitles you provide is appreciated too. Your audience is far reaching for people of other languages and cultures to appreciate. I think you're amazing and inspirational. Thank you for always considering others. The respect you demonstrate to your chinese elders in your videos & reference to your own family (who are probably watching) is a virtue so lacking in our western world. Thank you Miriam for beiing culturally adaptive, loving life and being you.

I have quite a few ideas I'd love to make with her! She's such a character! ❤️ My grandfather was also a painter and an art teacher, and in a way I think she ended up a little in his shadow. Although their paintings were very different! I would like to do a series with my grandmother, my aunt and my cousin. They are all artists, and I think it would be cool to show three generations of artists, their struggles, inspirations and life. I hope I can go to Sweden soon! 😊

Thank you for this lovely video ♡ I have a question, what kind of sirup do you use?
@MiriamFollin4 жыл бұрын
This is a common syrup, household syrup. In Sweden we have three nuances of syrup, white, light and dark. This is the light one, the middle one! I hope this helped!
@anniebertolini7244 жыл бұрын
I have lots of questions Miriam. I am wondering what the syrup is you used as it is dark in colour? Is the cream a long life thickened cream or can I use a fresh whipping or thickened cream. I have never seen vanilla powder either- thank you for bringing new things into my life, love your channel.
@asinclair24924 жыл бұрын
Yes you can use any cream heavier than single, like whipping or double. Just look up recipes for Swedish knâck toffee for help. You can find vanilla sugar maybe. Syrup is any light coloured syrup like golden.

What kind of syrup does the original recipe use? Maple, date - or?? (I know syrups in candy recipes can generally be interchanged, but I thought it would be fun to reproduce the original flavor profile - especially since toffee is my favorite!) Congrats on making a new tradition in your Chinese home 🍬 EDIT: I just looked up the history of Swedish syrup - and it's unique, and interesting. I'm going to try the recipe using dark corn syrup in lieu of hunting down your special Swedish "ljus sirap (light syrup) or mörk sirap (dark syrup)".
@Carryp4 жыл бұрын
The ljus and mörk sirap that you already identified is made from the leftovers from making sugar from beets, it has a pretty bland flavour with a hint of salt, so I think you can switch it out for pretty much any syrup you like
