I am Dutch and live in Spain. A few weeks ago there was a storm in Valencia Spain. dams did not do their job and people were not warned in time. There are many deaths. They lie about everything on the news, including the death toll. There are many times more deaths than reported. It is dismissed as a natural disaster, but it is unbelievable. The people have also been without water, electricity, food and assistance for 6 days. The people have come to help. Volunteers kept the people alive, not the state. It seems like they are working all over the world. The Netherlands is also one of the countries leading the agenda.

Hi all, I'm also Dutch, living in Spain not far from Valencia. I think we have to be very very careful to push all nature disasters away as if they are all to blame on some higher force. We have to take responsibility ourselves. Since the industrial revolution mother Earth has taken a beating and it's still full on. Climate is changing because of how humans abuse the Earth. Nature will strike back. The "storm" in Valencia is a natural event. It happens every so many years and this one 6 times as bad than "normal", actually happens every 50 to a 100 years. It's called a Dana/ gota fria. The warm air of the sea gets stuck up in the sky condensates, super heavy clouds form they burst and throw down a crazy amount of water in one go. I am more scared of the warming oceans and that these Dana's/ storms will get more and more intens and more often in the Dana season. The animals in the Mediterrenean sea are already moving away from the more hotter areas. In Spain seaturtles are just starting to colonise the beaches to lay their eggs. They move away from their original beaches in Greece and Turkey. Don't get me wrong, I don't trust in politics. It's just led by money and power for many. Or just an absolute inability to organize things, because of the bureaucratic structure. I was already driving up and down in my van with emergency goods for days until I finally saw the military coming in. Don't get me wrong, many military, firemen etc. didn't wait and sit around for an order to go. They just went by themselves. As many other people. But politics is also taking the chance to divide. I'm sorry, but the whole thing about the dams is not true. No dams have been removed. It's just a game of divide and conquer there. For me personally I think it is best to go back to the community. Work together. And work on climate change resilience through permaculture. Stay with nature, work with nature. There are so many amazing educational videos on KZbin. How to slow down water, how to sink it in the land... But most of all...I know people only looking for power and money are messing stuff up big time, but the state of humans, especially in the richer countries, and their overconsuming in the "throw away" society, is just making Mother Earth revolt. Anyway, I picked up a huge bag of leaves of a friend of mine. It's ready to feed my soil here and that makes me happy and excited today. Night, night

Thank you for the work that you and Stephanie are doing. I saw Lacey on a video a week or so ago, I had a very weird feeling when I watched the video and was uneasy when I saw it. Unfortunately, my suspicions were correct that she was a grifter. It's pretty sad people want to profit off of the disaster that's affecting the people here in Western North Carolina this is my home, I was born and raised here and I hate that lowlifes are taking advantage of the situation here. I think what you are doing is REALLY EXCITING!! Back a million years ago my dad and I did a study of water quality on the Flint River starting at the outfall just below the Atlanta Airport 50 miles downstream to the water intake for the City of Griffin, GA. In those 50 miles of swamps and backwaters the water went from a stinking, poisonous, dead thing to a renewed, life giving liquid. The key was the soil and the plants. It was a 50 mile biofilter. That was in 1972. It was my senior project in highschool. I wrote a paper and produced a film about the study which was presented before the US Congress. So I know what neat things God has provided for us to use to heal the planet. If I weren't an ancient, beat up old lady, I'd be there with you helping any way I could. Reclamation has always been a passion of mine too. In any case, you have my prayers and as much of my money I can grub up!!

I encountered her very recently out near bat cave, while heading to an AL fundraiser- logistics meeting in the piedmont, then off to then, in Candler, unload some donations into someone's house for her- all in the same 24 hours. Three days later, Weaverville fundraiser that seemed legit, until i prayed with folks outside and she appeared, saying, "oh Christians, whatever you wanna say in religion. " I am multiple many generations deep in all these hills. After weeks with neighbors getting out out...made it to my born bred family places and got a few weeks with a fire department volunteering until having multiple planning and neighboring counties to deal with "so called" tiny home - shed- blah- AND got angryyyyyurrrr. They are now called mission spaces and have no building codes to meet any legal ease. WE do LAW. but she? what are here roots here? Hmm...didn't think...yall put the light on her and uprooted it

Billy, I got this comment on my youtube. A follower, also a nurse, volunteered to go there yesterday to help them. This was her comment. She also even emailed me more details. I am a NC licensed nurse that contacted them through email. Met at their Airbnb this morning…as a nurse with 25 years in medical and recovery fields… the Lacy and her people there were not sober at 8am this morning and Im very disturbed. I only stayed 45 minutes but got enough of the picture to need to get away from them. Her boyfriend was definitely on meth or some kind of speed. Super dark and shady. Breaks my heart that they are taking money and using it to get high and yell about all they are doing. When in actuality they are just living off good people. I met the guy who bought them the Airbnb…. There’s more I can say but that’s plenty. Lacy I pray you find sobriety and don’t end up in jail for all this. Just stop lying… stop accepting money that should go to Samaritan Purse or other reputable helpers. It doesn’t matter what you say… or scream. You may have helped one or two but you are not what you say. Stop while you can. Show less

When I saw this Lacy lady, she reminded me of what I would call "lifers"...those people that were drinkers and druggers in that scene for life..that was very apparent for those watching her behavior in that interview with eyes to recognize lifers. That's what spurred me to research her to prove to myself what my instincts told me she was...a lifer and all that comes with that...lies deception thievery self pity and on and on...

So grateful for the information you have both really been God sent Billy no kidding Lord I know I'm not they're but my heart aches too these mountains and valleys get so cold especially when you have no heat or proper shelter you get so cold it's painful and God forbid when you're wet and cold it's x that painful. A lot of people think we're dumb Hill Billy's but that is farther from the truth we are hard workers the type of people to prideful to ask for help or afraid it takes away from someone else we are people that will help our neighbors and stand up for those who can't. @ I was richly blessed to be able to buy the top of my watershed, and the terrain is FAR too rough and rocky to permit conventional agriculture. Ask your son; he was here, and I think he was drooling over the possibilities. I am determined to protect the ecosystem that I have in stewardship from Him and am trying to develop a food forest. I believe Stephanie is a genuine person and I had red flags in regard to Lacey. I am a North Carolinian born and raised and my family and I have spent a good bit of time in WNC. It makes me furious how people try to take advantage of a terrible situation. I came to Swannanoa and Green Mountain to volunteer and help. I believe if people are there to be onlookers or gain some fame for themselves without contributing to the relief efforts they should not be there impeding progress. Sir, I have an idea that may be helpful Your local university's ecology/ plant and soil science/ ag/ sustainability etc programs may be willing to do some of the testing for you, help with funding,or even roll what you do into someone's pre existing or about to start remediation project . They at the very least might be able to help with funding and or sending squads of volunteer student labor interested in helping.

@@PermaPasturesFarm21 In my experience with dealing with UMASS/the 5 College Consortium that is only true at the higher way past the individual professor/ grad student levels. This is how UMASS, a college with deep ties to BigAg/Pharma can still have a Sustainable Ag dept and have their food forest, and do all sorts of impact/ mitigation studies. The guys getting the grants are ho'n to the corps, the average scientists care about the land and want to make the world better. Our local guerrilla garden/urban food forest project is staffed in very large part by eager students who are either doing an independent study for grades , or they are getting hours for a work study grant. We have more volunteer minions from a 1200 person university, than we can manage. Especially if you only need them for short term "permablitz" type projects ,vs long term regular reliable workers they are a resource i would not discount. Most of them, and their advisors have no great love for big Ag/pharma either
