The words made the art look cluttered. One of the keystones of comic making is proper paneling, and if there are too many words just plastered at the top or center of your panel, it makes the actual art more difficult to absorb.

My problem with this drama is that its literally the worst comic to use as an example. Clearly OP had this brewing in their mind for a while but instead of doing something constructive they just projectiled vomitted it at the next comic that reminded them of it. Ice Cold Take: The dialogue in the first panel helps establish context and expectations and the last panel acts as a self-contained joke. Removing either would weaken the comic (albeit a tumbleweed type visual signifier of emptiness could have possibly replaced the dialogue in the first). The third panel is overcrowded and the dialogue there is narratively unnecessary. That scene also could easily have been combined with the 4th panel, albeit with a break to the format. Having said that, one subpar panel is hardly a deal breaker and the suggestion to remove all dialogue is genuinely bad.

I think there's a massive problem with people just not being able to deliver criticism correctly Typically you shouldn't outright insult something as criticism that kind of harms your chances of actually being considered tremendously You have to understand that a person is laying their heart and soul out in front of everyone in a public space and you pulled up and said "It sucks" even if your criticism is valid I as an artist dont really care what you think because you're an asshole. This is kind of why I really like channels like Mandalore gaming. They try to point out the goods and bads.. ya know like a review.. Most reviews dont do that. I think it's cuz most internet criticism has origins in AVGN. Where it's not actually about criticism per se and moreso using a game as a prop for comedy. Like if someone painted a painting and then you went "Wow that's terrible on even the most basic levels" *Despite being really good on other fronts* you can kind of see how that would spoil any further insights or criticism Like genuinely people will just tear your stuff apart if you ask for criticism and hide the actual insights and thoughts within their flurry of hatred and assholery. I think that those items can make people feel unwelcome or afraid. Obviously this can't be applied in a general way and it's kind of a case by case basis kinda thing. Like idk about black hoodies, most hoodies I've worn were grey and current one is like a navy blue, but I am that person who pretty much almost always is wearing a hoodie... Even when it's extremely hot weather, it's like, not always but a pretty good chance that I'll keep wearing my hoodie lol... But tbf, hoodies are just so comfy and importantly if you are a male and you are not openly trans it is SOOOOO useful to have the extra pockets to hold things in... Like, women can just have a purse as a constant storage for small things like phones and wallets... Guys don't get that, even fanny packs it's like not rlly... And I don't want an overly large bag/suitcase to deal with... ALL YOU GET are pockets, and hoodie = extra pockets... You might say well your pants/shorts/shirt (maybe) has pockets and they do, but personally I really dislike the feeling of having my phone and wallet (also keys) pressed against my leg... It's not a good feeling... Additionally, you can get a hoodie with a zipper and constantly be able to zip your phone in your pocket (depending on your phone's size)... If you don't have that, often your pants/shorts won't have a zipper and so if you sit down on a chair a certain way then your phone might just slip out of your pocket and collide with the hardwood/tiled/concrete floor... That's not good... It's also much easier to keep your hoodie's pocket angled such that your phone won't slip out, obviously it's still possible if you don't zip the phone in a pocket, but with a hoodie often it'll be dangling off to the side in your chair (couches might still be an issue) whereas if you just are using the pockets of your shorts well your phone will always be sideways ready to fall out if it gets nudged the right way... The downside though is assuming your phone stays in the pocket, you won't leave your phone behind somewhere if you wear shorts (since you shouldn't be stripping out of your shorts outside of your home too often) but it's easy to leave your hoodie places accidentally with your phone in it if you ever take it off just because it's hot... So yeah, overall, hoodies are great... One more thing, hoodies have hoods, great for rainy weather and also avoiding eye contact with people making your uncomfortable either because they are weird/creepy or because you are weird/anxious and so they are also great for hiding from people... You can even hide from the entire world if you're sitting at a table! Just place your hood on your head, place your arms in front of you on the table, and place your head down so that your face is on top of your arms... It is dark, cozy and perfect for falling asleep!

If a comics purpose is to be expressive in any way, then it doesn't make criticism unwarranted, but I wouldn't fault an artist also not caring about that criticism, because it easily could be irrelevant to what they are looking to express in the first place. But if a comics purpose is to battle the right, then it would be worthwhile trying to take on any criticism that was constructive to the cause, would be worth taking onboard.

He might be the best creative talent to ever work in comics, Alan Moore might have normalized having lots of speech bubbles a bit too much. Since one of the many reasons it works for mister Moore is that he is really, really, really, REALLY goddamn good at writing so he makes it look easy when it's actually quite hard. And Moore still uses wordless panels and pages in his scripts, and he quite famously argued against the use of sound effects if they weren't used for stylistic visual purposes. That particular comic isn't a bad example by any means and is a good comic, but it demonstrably would be improved by having fewer or no words.

Vaush recently has this thing where he's a smidge too overprotective when it comes to public criticism of any form. He calls ANYTHING "super rude", no matter how detached or personal, and he constantly applies double standards to comments. Just because someone says "this works without all the text", that isnt equivalent to them saying "you are OBLIGATED to do this because youre a political comic artist", no matter how rude they phrase it.
