Been on Florisene iron supplements and a high protein diet in order to bring my body out of survival mode and put a much needed halt to this absolutely hellacious torment I’m going through. One of my biggest problems with hair loss was my hormones being out of wack, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone,,,and thyroid. If your testosterone levels are too high, this could result in hair loss. If you have too high estrogen, you can have hair loss. Hormones play a huge role in hair loss. And the bummer part about it, is getting good accurate test results for your hormone levels are not always 100%,,, this is why doctors find it so hard to administer proper dosage for all 3 of your levels; testosterone, progesterone, and estrogen. Get your thyroid checked too. Not only having your thyroid levels off, but the medication itself to treat the thyroid can make your hair fall out.

Ahhh I love the clip idea! Where did you get yours? Any certain ones you recommend? I’ve also been wanting to try olaplex products like the oil and mask. Did you ever try the diy masks like essential oils with a carrier and didn’t like them?
@LAURENNEWLY4 жыл бұрын
i just found mine at the rug store but i think they likely have them on amazon or any beauty supply store! the most important thing is that they are flat/smooth so that you don't end up with any unnecessary pulling. The particular style I have I think are called "curl clips" and i love them! In terms of olaplex i really like the oil I showed in this video - i don't think it is the most moisturizing but it's lightweight which is great for my hair. I have tried the olaplex mask and think its great for people who color their hair, but in terms of shampoo and conditioner i didn't like as much as i like my John Masters Organics ones. I did some DIY masks - some of my DIY masks were my fav - some not so much LOL. Word of caution - don't use too much coconut oil cause it is hard to get out and will stress you out!

Is hair powder mostly for people with DARK colored hair to cover their lighter-colored scalp? I started life as a blond. As I got older, my natural color became darker, so I’ve always colored & highlighted my hair back to blond. Now, at age 60, my natural color is a combo of silver and light brown, which I STILL color BLONDE (or at least I have been until now.) I was planning on going to see my stylist and having her do my usual cut, color, highlights, and blow-dry. HOWEVER, I just realized last night/today that I’m suffering from TE, after recovering from Covid 2 months ago. I AM SOOO DISTRESSED!! I’ve always had VERY VERY THICK wavy/curly hair that I wear to just below my shoulders. And I’ve lost about HALF of my hair volume in just the last WEEK!! My hair is falling like I’m a chemo patient!! My last 2 hair-washings have been traumatic! I’ve literally lost HALF of my hair volume!! NOW, I know that I definitely need to get it cut...probably shorter than I usually do...because all of the shedding clumps of hair are causing my hair to become a tangled mess in the shower when I shampoo it, which requires de-tangling with a comb, which causes more shedding. Actually, the shedding is endless no matter what I do, even if I just run my fingers through my hair! But ALSO NOW, I feel like I shouldn’t get my hair colored to cover up the gray for as long as this is going on, which means I’m suddenly going to have a salt-n-pepper look for the first time in my life!! I’m NOT READY FOR THIS!! So my question is: Do they make a hair powder for people with salt-n-pepper colored hair? Or is it not necessary, since there’s not a stark contrast between hair color and scalp color? Thanks.
