My sister and brother and I were send to Waikiki every ( ? ) weekend to stay with my grandmother. We loved it soo much ! She would take us out all day ( and night ) for adventures. It had a huge impact on me in that my mom hardly ever left the house. I know for a fact that my grandma played a big part in who I am. And what shape that takes can't really ever be determined. So yes, I love that Lily is so open to sharing her children this way.

LIVING BEING IS OUR RACE, MANKIND IS OUR RELIGION, HINDU,MUSLIM,SIKH,CHRISTAIN, THERE IS NO SEPARATE RELIGION ALMIGHTY GOD KABIR is the father of all souls that JESUS, MOHAMMAD, GURU NANAK, VEDH was telling in BIBLE, QURAN, GURU GRANTHA SAHEB .. In OLD Orthodox Jewish Bible KABIR is mentioned...KABIR means (GREAT or MIGHTY GOD) in hebrew...but when translated in different languages translator removed KABIR word Quran written in arabic has also KABIR word....KABIR means THE GREAT in arabic. In vedh also KABIR is mentioned.... GURU NANAK himself described that LORD KABIR is his Guru and Lord KABIR met him..and in GURU GRANTHA SAHEB Guru Nanak called Lord kabir as kartar (GOD) Just by reading holy books it is impossible to get depth knowledge of Holy text because we are just a living beings.. In vedhas also KABIR is mentioned...our brain isnot capable and doesnot understands the secrets behind the words and world.....GURU NANAK, JESUS AND MOHAMMAD were aware of LORD KABIR but later followers were not able to get depth knowledge

@@kathleenmorris9309 Who is complete God? The Holy Bible gives the answer to this question. Let's find out. Iyov 36:5 - Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB) See, El is Kabir, and despiseth, not any; He is Kabir in ko’ach lev (strength of understanding). Translation: Supreme God is Kabir, but despises no one. He is Kabir, and firm in his purpose. In all Bible translations, the word Kabir has been translated as "Mighty" or "Great" whereas Kabir is the original name of Supreme God. Conclusion: This verse of the Bible proves that Kabir is Complete God. The one who worships God Kabir by taking initiation from the complete saint sent by him gets complete salvation. After attaining salvation that souls rest in peace in the eternal abode Satlok forever. The throne of God is in Satlok.

The visit to Wats family brought back memories of when my parents took me to visit their parents houses in the country side. Everything was just as primitive and I had to stay there and sleep and bathe and eat as they did with no ac, no running water, and no toilet paper. Years and decades later the family has upgraded their homes to have ac in each room and modernized their bathrooms and kitchens to modern western standards. But looking back I’m glad I got to experience the old fashioned way of living.

I have visited small towns and cities in countries where conditions are different from what I've known. However, I never compare. I think the attitude must be to be opened to new experiences with open arms and heart. After all we are all human beings, we all must be respected. I think, in general, Americans tend to compare and consider that their conditions are the best. I think that nothing compares to the beautiful and quiet life that we see in those beaches in Thailand. They're worth tons of gold. Lilly has to be very careful @ the negative messages she conveys to the kids, without realizing it, about their dad's family.

I agree at some points it seems as if she asks Luke do you want to do this or that for example sleep on a mat on a cement floor or eat fish eggs, and he responds no I don’t. Get well soon. If you're in Thailand you may get"Fa- talai-Jon" also "Rung-Jued" which are Thai herbal medicine to cure flu and toxins. You may consult how to use these medines from the pharmacy shop. As for myself, I hvnt had Covid injection yet since the very season of its pandemic spread. Of course, I look after myself quite well but still I got it almost several seasons, but I got cured by applying these mentioned herbal medicine plus modern medicines and vitamins like 1,000 grams of Vitamin C,D,(3-4 times a day) Vitamin B+, Zinc daily, a small cup of lemon with a bit of salt in the morning, plain fresh milk with 1-1.5 spoon of honey at least daily, gaggle my throat with salted water few times daily( I carry a small bottle of salted water outside too, also spray my throat with "Kamillosan" spray before going out, put myself in the sun for a short time daily. Sleep more than 8 hours+, put on mass, clean hands with soap often and go out with alcohol gel. Of course try to avoid where there crowns gathering. Listening to nice music, Buddhist chants (if you're Christain, Catholics or Muslims chants or pray acdgly) and do meditation. Try not to feel depressed. Smile and laugh as many as chances open. So I survive from it and would like to share with you or whomsoever got Covid. I would like to.emphazize that even when you get cured from it. You still have to take care of yourself, I mean your health well too. I wish you the best and get well soon.

I am an American-born Cambodian. I visited Cambodia and stayed in rural Kampong Cham where my mother's parents lives. The worst part of it was I had to stay in an elevated house made from palm trees (I think) with cows underneath during rain season. The agonizing fumes of cow poop mixed with urine going up into the house because the grounds were always wet was what had me packing my bags to return to Phnom Penh. I had severe nausea and stomach aches because of the odor. I couldn't eat and it was really making me sick because I wasn't used to it. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and it was fine the second time around when it wasn't rain season lol. It was very neat to see primitive living, but most importantly, to see family. It really made me rethink about how lucky and blessed I am to be born in a 1st world country.

You can see how comfortable and happy Watt is being back around his dad's family, I'm sure he needed those connections and memories. I know you were so sick and uncomfortable, but you let him have that little bit of home, I'm sure he wants his kids to see just how truly blessed they are. Even though living the way Watt did humbled him and made it the man he is, you can clearly see how hard life was . But I'm sure he misses that simple quiet life sometimes. I know he hated the City. I'm a small town country gal myself here in Texas, I tried to move to Dallas for a while and I HATED it. It was nice there were more things to do, but I rather just enjoy fresh air, no traffic , and green beautiful grass and tress than a bunch of buildings lol Hopefully we get to visit Nams home one day as well.

You're kids are adorable, lovely family & nanny too!! I think it'd be so cool to experience different cultures, my son's dad is actually from Kenya so we have a lot of family there. I do have to commend you for following thru & not giving in to going to a hotel since you were feeling so awful! I'm a mother of 5 & remember how hard it was to stay the night anywhere besides home when my kids were little, let alone with myself & them being sick ❤️

Hi Lily and family, I've been Americanized since 1980. Thank you for sharing with us on Wat's family and how they live. From what I see, it looks like the housing situation is so much better built now than I remembered as a young child. I grew up with dirt floor and bamboo plank beds. Yes, I did shared the same bed with my parents. Our one an only village market was 2 miles away; with no transportation. We had to walk to the market and to school. I'm sorry that you are not feeling well and you are having to roughing it out for a few days. I'm sure Wat is very proud of you for being understanding to roughing it out as part of who he is in his culture. If I had to rough it out like you are doing for 2 nights, with my chronic pain on my whole spine; I would end up in a wheelchair for a few weeks to recover from sleeping on the concrete floor with no air mattress. The heat doesn't bother me as much but my hubby and kids would not be able to handle sleeping without the air conditioning for sure. Lol I am glad that you and Wat is still trying to stay in touch with his family just as much as you are staying in touch with your side of the family. It is so good and healthy for your children; to learn as much as they can about their family heritage. So proud of you and Wat. Keep up the good work and living your best life in raising your children. Blessings to you all!!!

I once visited a village near Kalisin in Isaan. One of my friends was married to a Thai woman and the accommodations were very similar. We DID have one air conditioner which was only used on rare occasions because of the expense. My friend's wife had paid for considerable renovations to her mother's home, but it was still pretty primitive by our standards. It was a great learning experience.
@Flower-ck2bs Жыл бұрын
Simple, not primitive. By the way people more and less people live simply in all countries in this world. There are appartements in western countries that have no toilet or hot water or escalator or heat….we all should live simple to help the nature and economi to repair to some extent. Greediness of some already destroyed to much.

Hi lily! Sorry you are sick. Everyone seems to get sick after sharing airplane air. You certainly a trooper for the environment you were in and being sick and trying your best to be with Watt's family. I wish I'd known you when I went to thailand and you could have coached me on what to eat because I didn't know what half the stuff was. Maybe you should start an online thing where you could show what the meals look like and describe what's in it for a small online fee for tourists. I really enjoyed your Italy videos because I want to go some day

Sleep on a wood floor with no mattress. 1. Have some kind of pillow. Can't sleep on your back and you can't sleep on your stomach. You can sleep on your side but there's a trick to it. Lay on your side. Keep the leg on the floor straight. Bend your upper leg crossing it in front. Keep rolling your hips until your quadricep muscles are on the floor padding your leg. Bend the elbow of the arm closest to the floor bring your elbow up high and put your hand under your head or pillow... Position so your deltoids are padding your arm. And your upper leg and bring your knee up higher gradually until your calf muscle is padding your leg. Make Minor adjustments but the key is to keep your thick muscles padding your body. Once you get used to it you can sleep quite well.

I realize that I'm viewing this vlog after this visit occurred. I hope that after your European travels you tested for covid multiple times to make sure you didn't have covid. I know quite a few people who have returned from travel only to get covid days later, including my daughter and son-in-law. I'm assuming you did test and just have a common cold, otherwise you potentially exposed Wat's family. It's very interesting to see how other cultures live their everyday lives and showing your kids their family roots is wonderful and educational too. They are growing up so fast. Thanks for sharing and feel better soon.
