Those 3-4 hours when I can get in and game with my friends after taking care of pets, kids, and family stuff is so important. Otherwise you are emptying yourself and putting nothing back in.

I do it the other way around. I actively get up at 3am because it's quiet and I do my thing around the house then I can go shopping at 6am before the world wakes up and I don't have to growl at anybody and be polite. It's calmer and easier to cope.

This can operate in the other direction too. I am 59 now and instead of staying up late to get my alone time I now go to bed extremely early. That changes my alone time to early in the morning. It’s done for the same purpose just uses a different time a day.

I do a similar thing ; My Grandma was always up at 5.am.. I love to feel the energy of a new day Dawning...Recently however My daughter's scuppering my sleepy time by doing the Wee hours thing...wiv every domestic appliance... Resulting in a kind of hibernation phase...Well it is the dead of Winter As we progress to spring which is like the Dawn for the whole hemisphere...I have to catch the early,mornings as ; I gather my clearest thoughts then..x❤x My daughter , name is Dawn BTW will soon see a large "Do not Disturb " sign hanging from my door...😂x❤x😂

In my experience traumatic abuse has been a loss of control over essential life needs. Sleep is one of the first sacrifices abuse demanded. This loss of control has led to rebellious feelings, both conscious and unconscious. So has a lack of sleep. I'm having to relearn how to build reasonableness in to a healthy routine.

I procrastinate going to bed early, even if I am really tired, just about every night. Sometimes, I am experiencing anxiety, and sometimes, I'm not. When I experience anxiety, I try to figure out why and analyze the events of the day or evening to see if I can overcome them tomorrow so I can go to bed early. Sometimes, I do overcome with exercise with positive thoughts by reading, expressing thankkfulness, watching a heartwarming TV program, or sitting and pray.

It’s freedom because your alone and it’s the best time on earth for me. I have control over everything which is also a cause of this as it’s my time to be free from the responsibilities of my so called success and freedom

My life has turned into nothingness! The man I’m married too has nothing to do with me and I’m always alone. This life is getting old. Now I understand why my grandmother went to live with her daughter when she became older. She was tired of being a maid to my grandfather that treated her badly!

This makes sense - but I also know I stayed up late because it was my "alone and safe" time and as soon I'd go to sleep the next thing I'd know is its time to get up and start it all over again

Life used to be so simple. There were morning people and night people. AM people wake up ready to take on the world. PM people would rather sleep in and start their day at noon and work until 8 or 9. No anxiety involved.

True since childhood. Stay up late - as well as awake by 3-5 am. Never slept more than 3-4 hours. A college roommate used to sleep 9pm-9am, a full 12 hours - then complain of being tired & yawn all day! I worked until 2am, then up by 5-6 to attend classes. I didn't enjoy having to get ready and leave so early, but still had more energy than the partiers and sleepers. I assumed Abuse, Trauma, Extreme Stress and Lack of sleep would certainly take its toll -- wish I could have relaxed and had a more fun and joy-filled life.

If your young and experience this, get help, it will eventually destroy your life. I deserve nothing I have . Money does not make anything better besides being able to pay bills easier. Im more depressed now with a full bank account then i was 5 years ago. Mental health is key and stop running away from people who want to help you, let them put a lead on you. Find a mentor when you are young.

This is also me. I used to sleep well at night but went through several extreme traumas. Now I can't sleep unless I exhaust myself. Is there any fix to this ??? (Btw, I don't do drugs, I'm not on any medications, I don't even smoke. I work a full time job as a carpenter.)

I think that's just the natural order I'm basically the same unless I'm exhausted I can't sleep ,just last night I laid there for 2 freaking hours and couldn't keep my eyes closed
@FirebyNight83 күн бұрын
@Shyne282 I hear you it's all too familiar. I think I'm going to start getting into the Bible during those times. I can't sleep anyway. It will get my mind out of my thoughts that aren't being honest to begin with and into somethings the truth that is a healthy replacement. Had a friend tell me when trying to rid your routine of something that isn't benefitting you, instead of only getting rid of the unhealthy distraction... it's better to replace it with something healthy that you enjoy more. That way an empty void needing filled isn't left behind. Anyways, that's the advice I'm going to try to use. I hope it can help you too.

Jesus, truly loves you, Reader. ❤ And is waiting for you to simply invite, Him, into you heart. Through Repentance for, sin. Because it's sin that keeps us depressed. This is coming from a man who once was on the verge of leaving this world by my own hand. Do not do it! The consequences are worse than the pain we feel here away from, Jesus. FAR WORSE.😢 Simply turn to, Christ Jesus. He, truly is our Only comforter! ❤ 2 Peter 3:9 ❤ The Gospel of John. Begin here as, Jesus, leads you. ❤
