Doesn’t hurt my feelings and if anyone deserves to catch and keep one it’s you. I can’t imagine a 32” trout. We were down on the steps in March and a guy caught a 27” and I was just 🤯 Congrats again Richard!

Great fish. I enjoy watching the videos and have been fishing the Caney for over 20 years. I understand the opportunity doesn’t come often to keep a big Brown. I’ve caught 3-4 I probably could’ve ever kept as well. I don’t think I would keep them being that big because I’m not a huge fan of trout. But, if you like eating them I understand. Just different perspective on my part as I’d value the fish of that prestige over a meal. I could catch my limit of rainbows and they’d taste just the same in my opinion which they are plentiful in that river below the slot. Nevertheless you do a great job with the videos and usually I get a good feeling of how the fishings going before I drive 4 hours to go down there.

Why keep it? I’ve caught many as big and bigger, never harvested a one. I just don’t understand it bro

Absolutely up to the fisherman. Richard returns 95% of the catches. He teaches people how to handle fish. How to return fish. He stresses the rules and regulations of fishing here in Tennessee. I think the comment was not necessary.

A big blow to the breeding stock was dealt with harvesting a trout like this please practice catch and release on wild and native trout, It’s the only way to have more and bigger trout in the future Pictures taken today and fiberglass reproductions last forever As long as you follow the posted regulations you’re good but it’s about principles of conservation Harvest all the stockers you want
@Betterdaysfishing3 ай бұрын
There are no wild or native trout in this River... These are all stocked trout and none of them reproduce successfully. Regulations dictate that a person can only keep one brown trout per day, over 24 inches.

How you doing. My name is Chad from CA. My wife and I own a very popular jig manufacturing company here. The baits we make are extremely effective on trout and everything that swims. We will be staying in Nashville the 18th to 22nd of August. Interested in fishing together? I have a growing KZbin channel also. We can collaborate and help each other out.
