I needed this today! So hard to figure out why rates should be going down, but in reality they are going up! You’re so good at unraveling this weird time in the market 🙌

I’m glad you were able to refi before the rates went back up

Agreed, that’s why I said you shouldn’t wait and should do it when it makes sense

Question: do we really need to wait 2026 to buy a house or refinance? Or 2025 is good?

Another big reason why mortgage rates are staying up and sticky, is the Fed is doing balance sheet runoff. They are allowing debt securities, like 10-Year Bonds and Mortgage Backed Securities, to roll off the Feds balance sheet. This increases the supply of Bonds and MBS. Which decreases the prices of Bonds. This increasing Bond Yields

We got super lucky when we recently refinanced and dropped our rate down almost a percentage. It’s a moving target!

Jeb, those job numbers are a lot of shit...
@JebSmith2 ай бұрын
You think so?
@drewvogel18152 ай бұрын
@@JebSmith absolutely. Those job numbers include people with multiple jobs. They could be somebody getting their fourth job, because of how crappy the economy is
@drewvogel18152 ай бұрын
Furthermore, knowing the government we have now they would consider an opening of a new onlyfans account to be a new job.

@@drewvogel1815 What you have is a lack of meaning . Even when things are going well, we may feel unfulfilled or lacking in purpose. This can lead to dissatisfaction but the fact that there's an increase in jobs and income can't be explain by people having a 4th job 🫣
@jamesosteen092 ай бұрын
Agree....I dont trust the job numbers at all. I mean I'm not saying it's all doom and gloom, but I just don't trust the numbers that they paint an accurate reflection of our economy.

This entire market has people changing their thoughts back and forth lol. Needless to say we're in pretty uncharted territory here....screwing up the domestic and global economy by mishandling a pandemic will do that.
@JebSmith2 ай бұрын
As you said it's uncharterd territory and the gov't did what they thought was best at the time..........which I believe to be the right move, the problem is they didn't course correct until too late which has unintended consequences.
@jamesosteen092 ай бұрын
@@JebSmith yes when I say mishandled the pandemic I'm talking about the entire ordeal...not just when covid was peaking but the aftermath as well. They ignored warning signs we were heading in the wrong direction until it was too late. We will feel the repercussions of that for many years as the economies world wide try to stabilize to something that's more normal and familiar to us. It's hard to make predictions on the data because the data is so screwed up right now. We can do the best we can but thats why I say a lot of people are going back and forth with changing their thoughts because it's just so hard to predict and get a grasp on whats happening right now. We're all just trying to hang on for the ride lol.
