We need a combination of reasonable easing on rates and economic growth. Mortgage rates in the 5's would be great.

Thanks Jeb.... I have forwarded your vids and lives to family members that are still holding out for another 3% or lower interest rate to hit in order for them to jump in. They now wish they bought in 2020-2022. Originally they thought I was crazy to buy in 2021.

@ I started watching your video since 2021 and bought a house early 2022. Fast forward, I’ve lived there for a two year and sold it (Made some money 😊). Now waiting for the right opportunity with a right property. Hoping this new administration will do something about rate and housing market. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

I’ve been saying it all along. Mortgage rates won’t come down until 2026 or 2027 to a lower range than recently. Lower mortgage rates will take some time.

it's all about employment which appears to be strong so you're likely right.

@ I had no confidence in Powell honestly right after covid, but this economy is resilient. Either this famous soft landing happens or no landing. I give credit where credit is due and Powell the last 2.5 years has done an excellent job. I don’t think mortgage rates drop anywhere near the 4-5%’s until 2026 or 2027 once we find out if inflation is truly tamed or we hit a slowdown.

So you’re saying adding huge tariffs on goods, deporting the people that build most of our houses, and giving away our tax revenue to billionaires isnt going to make housing super cheap?

What lies? Trump's first term was great. Interest great was so low. Inflation was as low as 1.4%. Under Biden, inflation was as high as 9.1% that drove up the costs of everything. Energy matters. Drill baby drill will drive the costs down.

@@americatoday1104 If you think the U.S. isn’t drilling, think again: oil production under President Biden has hit record highs, even surpassing the peak levels achieved during Trump’s 1st term. In 2023, production averaged 12.9 million barrels per day, with forecasts pushing that number to 13.16 million barrels per day by the end of the year-an all-time high for the country. The most oil ever under the Biden administration.
@americatoday110423 күн бұрын
@@Starreelynn It is true that oil drilling is increasing, but look at the increasing fees and regulatory burdens under this administration that cause devastating effects on businesses. Notice the cost of energy is still high despite higher production.

@@americatoday1104 the economy slowed in 2018, it shrank in 2019 slipping into a recession and inflation increased, he mishandled the pandemic, we locked down, the economy collapsed, the agriculture industry collapsed as well due to tariffs and had to be bailed out at a minimum of $28b, 200k manufacturing jobs were lost, there was a net loss of 3mil jobs and unemployment was near 7%. Yes, great economy. No!

At least it takes Donald Trump days weeks or months to take care of something.... Most other politicians it takes a few years to do anything. 😅

Hi Jeb. I do not know your education / background to make a finance/economic video, but assuming that an increase in tariff will create inflation in such a diverse economy like the USA is a waste of time and this is why I stop watching after the first few minutes. Please read a little bit about economic history or at least point out an example of such assumption other than the ignorant disguise as common sense that if a tariff on import increases, so does inflation. No, if a tariff on a chinease car goes up, I just buy a USA /Japanese /Corea cart, etc. Economies are based on supply and Demand and Inflation is based on the déficits this socialist agenda are creating in our Budget, pushing to print more money and therefore creating Inflation.

Where I live, the illegal immigrants have purchased most homes!!!!! They took that NYC money ($25k per family member) and purchased properties as well as created their own home improvement businesses (roofing, painting, building, contracting) and kudos to them, they pooled their money together to do this. So in NJ, they sure have driven the prices up.
