There are political folk who hold these views, but the media silences, discredits and rubbishes them to such an extent that they rarely get heard, because there's no money in it and the media are the same people that run big corporations. Therefore, any politicians that you do hear are greedy, self serving puppets. If not, they don't last long.

I came across Sir Ken Robinson,s TED talk while pursuing my Masters program in Newcastle. I was so motivated by his talk and his vision that it changed my direction of work from corporate to Education. His conversation made me realize the difference between education and learning and the creative capacity of Humanity and children. Sir Ken Robinson was a great man and his vision and his thoughts would have inspired many over the world. I keep seeing his videos over and over as a constant reminder of the mission he has left us ( Educators and parents alike) and the responsibility we have towards the generations ahead. Rest in Peace Sir Ken Robinson. You will be greatly missed but your thoughts and vision lives on within all those whose hearts and minds you have touched.

Being a teacher with five children of my own, l was riveted. With his insights and dry English wit, he was very enlightening and sensible. We home schooled all our children. We live in Queensland, Australia and have been doing so many amazing things, predominantly in nature, as my older boy wants to be a vet. We have bred animals, grown amazing things in the garden from seeds, we have delved into maths by undertaking various projects around the house, shops, cooking... the opportunities are endless!!!! I have a BA Honours from University of London and an MBA and I can honestly say that I have never learned so much as I do with them. They go off on a tangent (they are only five and seven) and learn so much about a particular project in such record speed, it is absolutely incredible!!!! Thank you for everything you do. This strikes me as Ken's closing remarks, expounding on all the topics he championed all his life. I had the honor, decades ago, of picking Ken up at the airport when he arrived in America, to escort him to an arts education conference. So enthralled by his presence, I chattered away, failing to notice that the AC was blasting the passenger side of the car. Ken had icicles dripping from his nose but never said a word! My favorite line in his arts educations talks was that it seemed people believed their bodies were simply created to carry their heads around. A great privilege to play that tiny part in his life.

“Organic education” has been practiced in Finland with great success for many years. All schools in Finland are state schools, which offer exemplary teaching practice. There are no private schools, so rich and less well off children play alongside each other. Finnish schools focus on the wellbeing of the student. The school days are shorter (family time is very important) plus they spend much of the school day outside exploring the world around them rather than being stuck in a classroom. There’s no standardised testing or homework.... And yet Finnish educational ‘output’ is ranked in the top 5 whereas the U.K. is at 26!! The u.k government MUST be aware of this, and if they are the question is why have they not adopted the Finnish system? 🤔 A paradigm shift in Education is very much needed in the U.K. 🙏🏻

Yes of course they know this. It is deliberate. They want inequality. They want division, they never change anything for the better-it's always worse. They will never better educate because it is not in their interest for people-ESPECIALLY poor people, to be smarter. They might start demanding equality, jailing of corrupt officials and politicians, ending gross entitlements resulting from a surname etc etc....basically demanding fairness..and they can't have that.
