I totally agree with you. I listened to this a few times just to see if it would grow on me, but unfortunately, it didn't. Then, a few hours after listening, I couldn't even remember what it sounded like. This song will be a eurovision flop, I am sad to say.

I hope it won't flop for Olly Alexander's sake. He is world famous, so flopping totally here will do his self-esteem no good. Not to mention his future chart positions. My point here is that Olly, with Y&Y, has written much better songs. I don't think it will win, but I'll still feel terrible for him if he comes in the bottom ten. Sadly.

Just listened to this. Can see your point on “it’s a sin” from the very first bar. The use of auto tune has nothing to do with tuning the voice, it is purely a production trick to emulate a particular style. That along with turning on every single switch on GarageBand (like your average 16 year old Music Production BTEC student would do) makes the whole thing an audible stew that left me with a headache. More vertigo than dizzy. I realise the “Song Contest” hasn’t been a song contest for years (certainly since bearded transvestite Israelies and the like), but I agree there is very little actual song here. A load of old toot. 4/10

auto tune enables "singers" that cant sing to hit notes they cant even sing.. simple. Representing the UK purely on his sexual orientation rather than anything to do with talent. Woke norm.
