It always amazes me that they don't for one second think they did a bad job in creating the show or story. "I did great and am amazing. Everyone who wants a paycheque says so. It can't be wrong." 😛 You cannot force people to suddenly like you and your beliefs. You CAN force them to not talk about how they hate you as much with weird laws and pressure groups. But I feel this will only increase the dislike. Ban words, new words and phrases get used. You want acceptance - behave like a rational human being. Sadly no, it ended BEFORE that. IMO the last decent season was the 2nd to last season with the 12th Dr...With Clara it was still a good show...the addition of "Me" began the slide downhill. The final season with Peter Capaldi was the END. Once he became SHE aka Jodie the Hellhound, 😢 it was OVER... I tuned back in to see David Tennant again, as he is my #2 favorite ( #1 is obviously Matt Smith), and had high hopes for the 15th Dr....but sadly I think that now the show is OVER.... And to think that I got a Disney subscription for this crap.

Teacher here. School can't always be fun, but at least I have awesome memories of watching _Dr. Who_ at lunch with students. That era ended when Capaldi came in. It just wasn't the same, anymore. This was a show that I could share with kids that was wholesome, and fun. Decorating for Christmas was even more enjoyable with the Christmas episodes playing. I sure miss those days.

Peter Capaldi was the best Doctor and each of his seasons had several episodes that were peak Dr Who. You knew that if one week was disappointing chances are the following week there was a decent chance it would come good again. The issue is that Capaldi deserved consistent, good writing but they kept bringing in third-rate, token writers to write the 'in-between' episodes. Now it seems every episode is an 'in-between' episode with no hope that they are bumps in the road, it IS what we have tolerate now.

The problem with inserting black lords and ladies into period royal courts is you actually take away greatly from the struggles of ethnic people and people of colour from that era. You're teaching ignorant children today, "It's okay - black people had a WONDERFUL time back then! Look at the women in their pretty ball gowns and the men in their finery all dancing and having a lovely time!" Children grow up to believe that things have always been equal and certain minorities had it good and did not have to struggle for what they have. I'd like to see a sci fi story (although it'll never happen) where, based on the "those who ignore history ..." mantra, everyone forgets about the concept of oppression and somebody decides to enslave a race for their "inferior" traits. All because society forgot the lessons of what oppression can lead to, thanks to the woke ledger evening everything out.

To put this into some sort of statistic. Across the whole country only 2.4 million people watched Doctor Who. Jinx says for every 1 old fan we lost, we'll get 3 more. Stats: "For people aged 16 and over, more than 1.5% - 748,000 - identify as gay or lesbian, and 624,000 (1.3%) as bisexual. Some 165,000 people identify as "other" sexual orientations. AND 262,000 people (0.5%) said their gender identity was different from their sex registered at birth. So based on that, either every person in the country who identifies as different from their birth sex will need to become a fan to get anywhere near the millions who have left since the wokeness started to invade the writing rooms.

Actually, if you're taking that quote from the last national census, even that 0.5% figure needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. If memory serves, when they dug deeper into that figure, a very large percentage of that .5% were not born in this country and didn't have English as their first language... That's an incredibly strange coincidence, so the likely conclusion is that many people answering yes to the statement probably didn't understand the question. The actual number is probably much lower.

I may be alone in this, but I've never loved the new shows as much as classic Who. They've always been too sexualised for my personal taste. "Cry your tears. It's not your world exclusively. We all live here, so get over yourself!" Huh. That's exactly what Ive been wanting to say to the LGBTAIQUT1T2PFCDEHJKMONRUVWXXXYZ creators of these shows / comics / whatevers for the last five to ten years.

The only children's show that has remained untouched, IMO, is Blue Peter. Despite getting influencers to host it, at least they're still kid friendly and the audience seems to really enjoy themselves!

My first doctor was Tom Baker with his massive scarf. I used to get back in time for Doctor Who, turn the lights off and tell everyone to be quite while I watched it. I noticed the fall during the Capaldi era. Got about 1/2 way through Whitiker's 1st series which was unwatchable. Sadly Doctor Who isn't for me anymore. I didn't even know Doctor Who had started up for a new series this time around until you guys started talking about it :(

That's only because they don't factor in the iplayer viewing figures, because the 2 episodes were released at midnight on the 11th, meaning that by the time the episodes aired on bbc1, most people had already seen it hours before on iplayer.

I think the reason for the lack of backlash is everyone is apathetic to this crap and is just walking away. I'd say the ratings prove that .Dr.who, star trek, star wars, and marvel. Are all basically dead horses they won't stop beating.

She was a producer, not the creator. Pretty sure the actual creators weren't queer either. If so, it wasn't all 3 of them.
