DLC is confirmed pretty much, the Expansion is most likely called The Dragon Princess from the Capcom leak. And will be larger then the Dark Arisen expansion for the first game. And it have been in active development along side the main base of the game.

You fuckers that told him it was on a timer suck. My favorite part was the end game. You can farm for end game items in this intense apocalypse with crazy monsters and amazing loot everywhere. The timer isnt a big deal either. And once you beat it and get the real ending you can new game plus with all your stuff. Please dont feel stressed anyone that watches this. Jp is overly anxious about these kinds of things. Just remember its a game and you lose out on nothing if you take your time. The game is very generous. And try to do as much as you can before reaching the end game. Dont rush the story.

I didn't read any spoilers or anything about this timer until I finished and got the actual ending. I'm on NG+ I still look forward to my time in the post game to farm more wyrmcrystals cause the game just forces me to NG+ after doing the last pillar. Even after beating the game, I still really want to play more of it. DD1 and DD2 are masterworks all.

How does It with exactly? So it's not on a timer, that's good to know. But there's a limit in how much you can rest? And if you die you still get back to when your rested right?

there is a big fight. its just in the normal ending not the true ending. and the true ending has like 10 fights.

In my 100 Hours in DD2, my main Pawn contracted the Disease 4 times, 3 of those in Endgame couse i was farming Dragons while a recruited one had it twice. Each time it has so far been rather obvious and got me doing a 'Consign to Brine' Ritual each time but i wouldve appreciated any feedback when its done to kinda 'confirm' that they had essentially been cleansed, especially to the player whos pawn has been affected, Heck it was my Pawn that First showed up in Cohhs playthrough with it and gave him the Tooltip screen for the Plague but i wouldnt have known if i wasnt watching him xD The biggest thing with the Timer is honestly that it IS there up till you have the final beacon appear at the Seabed Shrine at which point its basicly Paused, the bit that makes it Feel like its not is that the Pawns dont adjust their speech about it and keeps going; 'Defeating the enemy has surely kept our doom at bay', they couldve had a dialogue that was more.. 'Hey the Doom has been stopped, we can rest easy for now'. Endgame was my favourite bit of the game simply couse you got to fight the funnest fights basicly as many times as you wished but i so hope they expand it and give us so many more fights like the Beacons or even roaming ones of a similar type

I always wonder what kind of crossover they have between the different development groups in Capcom. I'd like to think they learned a lot about Open World for that upcoming Monster Hunter, at least as far as performance, and maybe more... but I don't even know if they talk.

You forget to mention more skills in dark arisen and they gave you a eternal farrystone. That alone puts dark arisen above this entry.

*Dont read if you dont want spoilers about Dragon Plague * *Note about Dragon Plague you dont "Just get it". Your pawn/s will contract it from dragons (Hence the name, it is a hint of sorts). If you fight a Dragon, there is a possibility that they caught it. And if they dont get it from a Dragon you fought the only other way is to get it from other pawns in your party and if they didnt get it from a Dragon you encountered, then they had it from their own players game and brought it over. So yeah, its not random or because you had the same pawns for too long or anything like that actually not too hard to mitigate (Just after fighting a Dragon immediately kill them or just keep an eye out after).

You can fight the big dragon with 6 health bars if you do the regular ending before doing the true ending. It's similar to the last fight in DD1

I enjoyed the endgame its a boss rush mode with a 7 day timer. And you misunderstand the dragon plague. Its only when your pawns are grabbed by a drake and the get stared at. Just look for red eyes and rude comments from your pawns. Also ng+ lets you upgrade your vocations even further with the dragon forged guy.

The really weird thing about the dragon plague is that it does potentially punish you for constantly changing pawns. You can hire a pawn from the rift who already has the early symptoms of the plague (the red eyes show up more easily there), so it's not just something that happens to current pawns after certain fights. I think it's an interesting mechanic, but it feels like they threw it in with no real way to interact with it; the whole kill/resummon/rehire thing seems like a workaround, not a solution.

Its also a reason to summon new pawns. Or you can just wait until it infects your main pawn and kill them and your good.

59 hours 25 seeker tokens... mut magick archer is one big "Iwin" button with that elite spell.. you remove your current max health for dmg (if you have max 50hp after you release the shot you can be healed to 50, high risk high reward, requires the normal rest) can't quite kill the 5 star drake (at 45) but from 4 stars you can.

playing on ps5 and with the new patch i turned off Motion blur and Raytracing and it feels like its running more than 30fp even more when your outside the city and wayy more when its at night.

I thought it was okay. Got bored of the world pretty fast though. If your on the fence i'd wait for a sale. I didn't have any performance issues.

Tried it, enjoyed the combat, refunded mainly due to performance. I'm not giving it a shot until it's actually ready for release. A lot of the negatives from reviews after completion have a lot of negative things in common, I don't really feel like I'm missing out right now. It has a lot of design flaws that people worked around and accepted in DD1 because of the time period it came out but now they have no excuses for some of the choices they made.

What is the ace in the hole selling factor? The character creator or exploration?

I'd problaby say the selling factor is that it somewhat feels like a adventure/rpg simulator. A decent amount of stuff is left vague for you to figure out for yourself or to find (you could get a pawn to guide you though). In that aspect of freedom it is somewhat similar to something like Baldur's Gate 3, but this being third person action rpg instead of isometric turn based rpg.

@@RyguyRBI wish I could also consider exploration a pro, but I just can't. The things you're exploring and hoping to find just aren't interesting. I think in this case, not having armor and weapons have cantrip effects or synergy with your passives and augments was a huge missed opportunity. It means that exploration is only rewarding on a surface level, and gear just isn't interesting enough to feel excited about.

Every class other than Warrior is easy mode. Hell, the Spearhand has a literal invulnerability spell! This was the easiest game I've played in years honestly.

I liked the game, I didn't like the story. The story imo feels rushed b/c when you go to battahl it just goes nowhere from where the first part was leading. I'm level 65 and the game feels way too easy atm so I hope we get a proper hard mode later.

Played 25 hours so far, only thing i dislike about the game is the performance in main cities. Otherwise i completely love the game. Running the game on a 10900K intel, 32 GB ram and a 3090. So the weakest link in the PC is probably the CPU. Pawn AI system is amazing, combat / gameplay is great, story is ok, performance is what it is, and i hope the future patches will fix the npc loading issues on CPU load. Main cause of the performance issue in cities what i understod.

@@MrAlexvizz The issues what i understand is that the game load in to many NPC,s at the same time in cities so the CPU gets clogged. This is a issue that they will most likely fix, so i wouldent be to worried. Its not a GPU issue, its a CPU issue. You pretty much only see major performance dips when you enter large cities with alot of npcs.

The game simply doesn't utilize all available cores, only up to 12 threads. So a better CPU won't necessarily help either, though I suppose higher clocks on those few cores could marginally help. It's just a poorly coded game.

Performance issues are linked to NPC’s AI pathing, currently there is a bug that causes many npc’s to get stuck calculating proper pathing especially in cities with many routes to travel. You can see this on display when your pawns get stuck usually at a crossroads in town and get stuck running in circles. This is their pathing bug, now just expand this to 10 npcs bugging out alongside normal npc behaviour, you get CPU strain as it is constantly recalculating. It happens in other games and causes a variety of bugs including npcs acceleration to infinity if no npc movement speed caps exist.

They are completely fine, nothing in the dlc shop is needed. 100% opptional and wont affect your gameplay in any major way. Its pretty much only "time savers" if you would call them anything.

WTF is with the timer? They don't want the PC to sit on their butts when it's supposed to be like a Hitchcock film. Sure you can make love to the sweet sweet numbers and new loot, just remember there's a bomb under your bed waiting to go off. They don't want you to get everything, they want you to have to choose and move ever forward. They don't want you to do it all perfect, they want you to make sacrifices and show not tell the consequences of those decisions. It's actually pretty great storytelling told via the limitations of playing a video game, but this is why you can't do things like that in a video game. Because people are more like dogs, waiting for more jangling keys or bells to make them slaver and slobber for the next dopamine hit instead of enjoying anything that might actually conflict with their parochial and limited view of what is 'good'

its not 110 dollar for the game its 70, if you count it in real money. 40 hours for the main story, you got 40+ hours if you do opptional quests and explorations in the game. i got many friends that have done 70 + hours so far in the game and still got plenty to explore and master.

The MTX were basically everything you'd get from the Deluxe Edition, just broken out for individual sale. And buying any of it, was completely unnecessary. The entire MTX discussion around this game was just rage bait for content creators to milk. Moreover, it was a pointless distraction from the real problems the game has, especially in terms of performance.

I still think they don't add positive value to the game... And when I saw it just before all the drama hit hours before, I knew it will send the wrog impression to alot of people and will be a cause for alot of chaos.. Aaaand it did... Imho if only they didn't added the 1x Portcrystal alot of the drama regarding mtx would've been ALOOOOT better. Disclaimer: I'm aware how useless and how easy are to get in-game my point still applies tho.

I loved it until I wrapped up the post-game quests, which automatically pushed me out of my save and didn't let me keep playing unless I started NG+, which doesn't scale so I'd have to one shot everything to get back to that post game, again for a limited time until I'd get pushed out again. What. The. Fuck. I would have played maybe 10-15hs more, grinding post-game weapons and armors for all my favorite vocations, fighting the elite re-skins and liking it, but the game didn't let me. And as for MTX, at least on PC, they are a lazy person's cheats. Nexus mods can get you that and more. It really sucks that there's an audience for them.

On PC I've been making separate backups of my saves so I can go back and not do the final quest to keep the world open. It's the only way to do it at this point prior to the red skies.
