Dunno if this is common knowledge but that 5% xp share from Skulltaker also applies to lords you have disbanded. Feels pretty good to re-recruit a lord you dismissed turn 5 and later pull him out and immediatly ascend him ngl.

I think the best thing they did for the Skulltaker campaign is that it honestly felt like the goal was to kill lords and complete the cloak of skulls. On like turn 40 I had occupied 2 provinces, but it didn't feel like things were going badly at all, because I had completed a lot of the cloak of skulls. Then when you do get the endgame buffs it kinda feels like you won, and so your reward is the ability to bring untold ruin and destruction to everything.

The very and only disappointment of Skulltaker in my opinion is that u just cant... f0kin duel with enemy lords! I mean as intended - 1 vs 1, in circle/arena, where no one can't interrupt your fight. Like in three kingdoms for example or something like that. I want the special dueling mechanic in game, nothing more. Pure duel.

I think Khorn roster is the most limited in different designs they can do. Only melee units who are focused on attack, not on defence. At that point you can't add anything too different.

That's not even true bro i'm tired of people saying this it only takes a bit of creative thinking, it's clear as day they choose to cut corners with the khorne dlc a bunch of reskins none of the new units feels new, they "look" new but all are reused animations vs the nurgle dlc, toad dragons were new, rot knights new, ogres while they are reskined they have unique animations bile trolls again reskin but unique new animations only the pestigors were meh everything else felt fresh.

@@masaheimoi it's not about different units, i'd add the same units but i'd give them more personality new unique animations Wrathmongers are supposed to be these demon enhanced monsters but do their animations reflect that? no the have basic chaos warrior animations as for the slaughterbrute either give it more aggressive animations a breath attack or aura give it something man damm it's the little things that go a long way not the models themselves.

@masaheimoi okay yeah that we agree on the dlc lacked effort yeah creative thinking isn’t the correct description because they had to add units that’s in and accurate to warhammer lore but the effort even compared to SoC isn’t there, crowmen has a unique kill and new animations but wrathmongers nothing

Khorne Gors make more sense in multiplayer. Bloodbeasts are walmart Minotaurs. Get them until you unock real Minos, think of them as a stepping stone. Love the new Buff Wagon Lord. Anything else I don't really have a strong feeling on.

I'm a bit mixed about this campaign. But a big issue is also... Me. I'm not really an aggressive player, which just doesn't work very well with Khorne. And I'm also not a fan of the new Units outside the new Lord. I don't care if someone is op. I still have fun with his campaign but his mechanic could be a little less "passive". I just hope for more special mechanics instead of passive buffs you gain by just playing the game. Didn't play Golgfag yet but his mechanic just seems much more interesting for me. Funny enough, Golgfag seems to cause more chaos than the changeling, which just confirms how badly Shadows of Change was.

Well, I mean, I get what you mean by Skulltakers mechanic has many passive bonuses, but I think they improve the quality of the campaign in a very dynamic way. For example the xp bonuses make your lords ascend a lot faster making it so you can play with their exalted version, and not have to wait 20 30 turns to level them up. Then there is also the fact he can make bloodhosts last forever, which makes you use them a lot more on the campaign map, making for very interesting battles. I think these make for a very interactive campaign. As for Golgfag, I think he is infinitely better than the Changeling, while having a similar theme yes.

Nah, I made this with the upcoming changes in mind, so long as they are the changes mentioned in the beta, and not something that will completely change his campaign.

So it is true, no more Skarbrand rampage. That's such ...... blood, blood, .... I want there blood for that. Btw what do you think about Arbaal? I had a lot of fun with him. Only the fact, that after the initial "victims" you only get artificially created, bog-standard uninspired enemy hosts to kill, is not so much fun.

I really like Arbaal, and his campaign is really strong, not as strong as Skulltakers, but a lot stronger than Skarbrands. And yeah, I too dislike the fact you stop getting challenges for legendary lords.

reached turn 30, was totally unstoppable and overpowered and lost interest nothing feels meaningful for me if you replenish everything and get armies out of thin air sry, I don't want to be a downer here, but that's my exp with that camp

Yeah, no its the same for me, but even though the campaign lasted only 35 turns, I still spent 20+ h on it and got everything the campaign had to offer. Most campaigns are over by turn 50 and you miss out on doing half the things you would want to do. With Skulltaker I feel like I did everything I wanted to do, because of his mechanic giving you xp to all lords I had like 4 level 30 Bloodthirsters, usually I would have to load one in a campaign if I ever wanted to play with them. Because the bloodhost cost you nothing and you can have them fight a lot longer, you can get some smaller armies going alongside them, and not feel pressured to get a full stack as quickly as possible. I get his is completely broken at the moment, but hopefully after they nerf him, his campaign last longer, and will take a little bit more time to just take over everything.

I think he will be better after they nerf him a little, as he will still be absolutely broken, but just enough so you can play the campaign for a bit longer.

@@CultistOfkhorne totally agree, maybe cuz I play a lot of multiplayer aggressive campaigns it’s a huge nerf to him that every bloodhost cost more than the one before. This effect skarbrand too, to me arbaal is my favourite khorne campaign rn
