What we need now is for somebody in the community to make a video of their A grade 2022 Batmobile assessing the wheels & axles so we can compare.
Warner Bros. released a 10 minute 52 second "Behind the Scenes" featurette on KZbin entitled "The Batman Creating the Batmobile Warner Bros. Entertainment." You can find the featurette using that title in the search bar. From 2:23 to 3:15 in the featurette, Warner Bros. explains that they originally designed the louvers in the center of the hood to open to reveal the red lighting effects seen in the movie, but they changed the car's final design to have the louvers closed in order to place the water tanks on the hood for the traveling rain effects. So, what you see in the film is not the Warner. Bros.' approved final design of the car. I guess Warner Bros. kept the open louver hood design for the car's "first reveal" scene because it looked really cool on screen. Jazzinc's 1/6 vehicle with the louvers closed is, however, the Warner Bros.' approved final design for the car. Also, at several points throughout the featurette (3:44 to 3:47, 4:39 to 4:42, 9:17 to 9:19), it appears to me that the rear wheels of the car are actually slightly more bowed outward at the bottom than at the top depending on the particular car.

I got an interesting story-- I've been a 1/6 collector since 2002 and my first 1/6 vehicle was the Tumbler back in 2010 or so and like anyone else I was blown away. This was followed up by the 89 Batmobile and Delorean and I have 2 1/6 scale mech cockpits from the anime Evangelion. During the pandemic, I got myself into 1:18 Hot Wheels and the thought hit me-- I've been holding these in my hands and rotating them or see all the details and they feel heavy and solid to hold while these 1/6 vehicles are nice and all, they're inevitably giant paperweights, you can't do much with them as they're cumbersome, heavy and just sit there taking precious real estate. I thought I might be going crazy but I suddenly lost interest in 1/6 vehicles as the size doesn't really add that much detail that's not in the smaller scaled models and the prices don't really justify the need to "upgrade" from owning smaller models. I did the unthinkable and sold my all my 1/6 cars and instead bought Hot Wheels instead and to be honest the look quite impressive when you have like 6-7 1:18 Batmobiles on the shelf. As my cringey username implies, I always ask myself what good does my purchase can do for me before I spend money on something. If it brings me happiness, then I don't really need $2000 for a giant toy car to make me happy, or at least it shouldn't. I can instead use that money to buy more books, get new glasses for my mom, more Batman comics or buy the cat a nice Cat House. Don't get me wrong, Jazzinc does fantastic work but as a huge Batman nut I honestly still struggle to ever justify myself getting one of their premium offerings as I know it doesn't really enrich or improve my life in any way in ways that the $2000 couldn't be invested in more meaningful pursuits.

I think you’re thinking about too much. The reason people are still buying is because no one else is making these vehicles in 1/6. As soon as another company starts making the same things he is at a better price point, hes gonna have to change it up. Sometimes having a decent version of a thing you love is better than no version at all.

More then a few Jazzinc items and they have all been very nice pieces. Especially when compared to the teased but never made items from other companies with access to better manufacturing and lower price points. Anything made in Europe is much higher in price. From cars (which are usually junk) to specialty items. Jazzinc 66 bat mobile is awesome, the land speeder looks the part, the cockpit displays amazingly. I order HT but lord knows if and when they deliver. The issues those have must be ok since the price is less. Wrong wiring on a DeLorean, NP. Wheels fall off NP. Wheels don't turn NP. Tumbler with parts that break off on assembly NP. How about no remotes or usb power. Wrong lights on vehicles, or wrong color lights. I have had all those issues to. Guess if it's cheaper plastic from Tiawan it's all good. HT has made one bat mobile (now the same one twice). You will be 80 by the time they make another one.

I waited so long for the Batman versus Superman Batcave that I actually forgot I ordered it remembered it contacted them cancel it waited a couple weeks for the refund and forgot about it again and it still hasn't come out. Is it me or Jazzinc looks much bigger than Hot Toys in terms 1/6th scale vehicle to go with 1/6th scale figure? I know Jazzinc indicate their vehicle as "Diorama", thus is it to scale? Jazzinc '89 Burton Batmobile is like a school bus when putting Hot Toys 1/6th scale Keaton Batman next to it, while Hot Toys version + Keaton Batman looks about screen accurate. I don't recall in the film the car like a length of a bus. Indeed what Jazzinc put out looks nice, but if their product isn't as properly made and breaks down easily and pay at a super premium in pricing (3x more than Hot Toys), its a no go for me, plus their vehicle doesn't look like in scale.

the HT 89 Batmobile is inaccurate --- no where close to being 1/6 in scale. As for the JazzInc 89 version, it has already been acknowledged by those who have worked on the actual Batmobile in the movie that JazzInc's is the most accurate 89 Batmobile to date.

@@1515cci Production designer Anton Furst, and assistant concept artist Julian Caldow, designed the Batman (1989) Gotham City, Batcave, Batmobile, Batwing, Batarang and grapple gun Batman gadgets and Joker gadgets. Julian Caldow is the one interviewed on the JazzInc KZbin page, and that didn't persuade me to buy the insanely overpriced Jazzinc Batmobile toy.
