My Thoughts on the New Dirt Midget in iRacing

Biggest thing Ive found, racing these in real life. The hooked up track states feel really good. But when it slickens off and there's not a lot of grip left in the track, the cars don't have anywhere the grip they do in real life. They dont hook up. Your front end should be up because you've added helper springs, and let the rebound fly on the front, tied the rear down. But in iRacing regardless if you do these things, you still feel like you're on ice, and now the bottom seems to be the only place to be.

Love the in depth analysis, I'm definitely no where near a setup guru so your videos always helped me. I could never get a good setup in the midgets though. They always wanted to pull the rf off the ground in the straights and slam back down

Thanks for the in-depth analysis Tommy! I just joined SSR so thanks for that as well I'm really excited to dig in. I've just started racing ecotech midgets IRL and before this new build iRacing midgets were kind of just floaty? Obviously it wont feel like IRL but it was like too easy to drive. This new build feels like I need way more input, better throttle control, I can almost feel like when my right rear digs or is about to bike. It's challenging now in iRacing and I LOVE IT. Maybe it's just in my head but it feel more like the real deal. It's hard to drive IRL so it should be on iRacing too.

@@yes7905 absolutely the car movement. You can see it smooth out for a split second on the straights

It's the bouncing on track, new update gave us random (I think its random) hole generation
