SO tired of so many Poppy Parker releases!! I understand that some people love her, but last year there were WAY more Poppy releases than FR and NuFace. I’m hoping that this year isn’t more of the same. I just want releases to be somewhat balanced. Something for ALL W Club doll collectors.

What are you talking about? This year is one of her anniversary years, so there will be lots of Poppy... This is IT's flagman product. They will always release as many Poppy as they want, she has a huge fan base, not just "some."

Last year was my first year with integrity, so I purchased Island Time Poppy Parker. I also ordered When in Paris Poppy Parker because she is based on the Sabrina movie with Audrey Hepburn and I was named Sabrina after my mom saw the movie so the doll means something to me. As for these 3 although I liked the outfit I didn't order any. I would rather get a doll I don't have like Isha or anyone else I don't have. I also agree that lipstick color on the last doll is a bit much! I loved and enjoyed your video.

"Loud in pajamas"!! 😂😂😂 That should've been her name! I agree with all your points. I adore Darla Daley, Poppy's AA bestie. Instead of all the AA Poppy dolls, I'd love to see Darla again. I have a collection of Poppy dolls, and it seems like the screenings are becoming repetitive. I don't want to spend so much for repetitive. And, I agree these outfits would've been nice as fashion packs instead. Blue Skies kinda reminds me of the Wizard of Oz Poppy too. I love the Poppy line because I love that Mod era, but you're right. Where are the friends? In my mind, Snoozeroo shall henceforth be known as Loud in Pajamas! 😆

I actually really liked this latest collection because we finally got color again instead of black and white fashions like in the previous mod collection. I'm a die hard Poppy fan so she'd have to be wearing a bag over her head for me to pass on her. Normally I hate Pepto pink lipstick on any doll but it worked for me on Snoozeroo who was my favorite of the collection as I love pj's for my dolls. The only thing missing in this collection was that the jewelry was oversimplified. I always look forward to your videos and am currently in the middle of watching this one. Thank you so much for making these videos as they are so appreciated even when our opinions differ.

I am all about opinions being heard. We are looking for different things, which is what makes collecting enjoyable ( I hope) I hear you on seeing colors again. But as a die-hard Poppy fan, is she not mostly in color? And on the topic of the Pepto lipstick, why do you think it works on that doll?

David did mention that the friends didn't appear because it's poppy's 15th anniversary. That's also why he made them type of "throw back". I personally only liked the red heads outfit and color pallet but I'm waiting for a day tripper call back to waist my money on poppy.

Person of color here, not arguing, 😊 I just started to like and collect poppy parker. Ive been in the club for a hot minute now, I did order these dolls. I dont own many poppy's. I have to agree that something seemed lacking in this release, but i actually liked all of them. I didnt notice snooze had that bright pink lip color or maybe it didnt bother me🤭. Your observations are valid. I think these sell out cuz of FOMO, or ppl who are buying these like less frills...they just like simplicity and or will dress poppy up and like her to come "basic". I collect from all the different collections, so thats just my opinion. When ive seen poppy push the parameters, it seems the "super" fans dont like that. So im not really sure if poppy is going to stray from this "formula". It seems to work. (Also, your opinions are very much appreciated 👏 💐. I enjoy hearing them, even if they differ from mine. You crack me up too 😆)

Great Review and well said. Gracias. Poppy with bubble gum lipstick color, as she is going to bed. Seriously! I guess she wants to be ready if Prince Charming shows up. Just saying. 😀 My grief is with I.T. - so many Poppy’s. Neglecting NuFace, FR, Meteor and E.59th…. This Poppy Collection is a Fast Pass. I can’t see buying any of them. I would take the evening doll for free. 🙃 To many repeats (and not in a good way) for her Anniversary. So lack luster.

Darla is a firm favourite here on The Piece, she is absolutely exquisite so they should bring her back and also use Jolie again. Just as an aside, I'm sure few of us would be going to bed wearing make-up let alone that garish lip colour. I definitely agree that the pyjama girl should have been in the evening dress and the last time I checked there was more than one shade of black. Great review

I was just reminded of Jolie James. After a little Google research, it appears she is everyone's friend as that mold has appeared in different lines. Which I think would make it hard to determine how popular she is in the Poppy world.

Your facial expressions make me laugh! I have to agree that the collection overall was kind of lacking, especially with the formal dressed Poppy. She just needed some "oomph" to her. I didn't get any of these dolls but would have tried for Lazy Daze if I didn't already have so many other dolls I want to buy. Plus, I never like trying to buy from dealers as I can never put my order in fast enough. Whenever I have tried, there is always some kind of glitch with the computer and someone else buys her before I can. Thanks for your review and sense of humor 🙂

I've been with Integrity since the start and since Poppy's beginning. And I liked Poppy's friends but they don't sell well otherwise Integrity would make them. The last collections GInger sold well but in general most people don't seem to like her. If you go to the online doll shops there are still Tina Tanaka dolls available. They've tried to do friends a few items and they don't sell as well as Poppy herself and it is a business. I personally like the friends and have bought them but I know a lot of Poppy collectors who just want Poppy. A couple of them occasionally bought Ginger.

Darn I’m showing my age, Happy Days.😅 can I say you are not alone, this is only my 2nd year with IT and I’m already tired of Poppy. I was so confused, felt the same, like it was missing something.Mind you, I buy all the black dolls, I really shrugged my shoulders like even the black poppy couldn’t sell me. I literally only have 1 Poppy and that’s all I need at this point.. totally agree with you, I’m just not sure how they are all selling out

The deal is that Poppy is the line and although she does have friends show up from time to time they aren’t nearly as popular as Poppy herself Her oldest friends are Tina Tannaka and Darla Daily whose face sculpt was damaged so we shall never see her 18:40 again unless they make a 2.0 Darla mold My only concern is that the Charlie’s Angels collection should have been 3 different characters and not all 3 Poppy I am assuming when they reveal the 3’rd angel it will be Poppy as well

Someone shared some data on how many times her friends were produced, and it appears Darla is the most popular friend, getting produced the most. While Tina only produced 2 (based on the data shared), it is not enough times to determine she isn't popular.

Ok, I'm kicking off my heels and taking my earrings out, because it is about to go down! 😂😂 No, generally speaking, you are correct about many of the points you made. 1. The dealer dolls were a bit basic. One of the reasons I picked Lazy Daze was because she had more fashion pieces. 2. I do wish that we got more of Poppy's friends, but both Ginger Gilroy and Jolie James were just in last year's Mod collection and Jolie was the standout doll, in my opinion. I love Lazy Daze because she reminds me of Ginger, without having Ginger's face (which I don't like) and she has a rare screening. I didn't care for the other two. 3. Bad lip color on darker dolls is not just a Poppy problem. I don't know why designers think that dark skin needs a pop of color, like it's a dark suit or something (Magia Collette being the worst, but not only, offender). I entered for Snoozeroo because I think she's gorgeous. Yes she's overly done for bedtime, but I think she's perfect for Pink Lemonade's outfit. Most of my Poppy/friends dolls are FR Black/A Tone and darker from Palm Springs Collection to the present. Resort Ready is my darkest Poppy and her make-up is perfection. They all have great make-up with the exception of the Nubian Poppys. To your point, the two Nubian Poppys had bad make-up colors. I also think it was way too bright. I think IT, in general is hit or miss on the darker dolls, but I have a pretty decent sized collection of them to see that they have plenty of hits. As usual, I enjoy and appreciate hearing your opinions!

I felt the same way about the collection. I’m new so I don’t have a WClub collecting buddy to discuss it with so I wait for your videos 😂. I wasn’t impressed with the collection it was all the same face mold and it seemed very one note for me. I understand that poppy Parker is in the 60s but I wasn’t really a fan of it. Granted I’m not a poppy Parker fan I love NuFace! I’m waiting for the other collections and happily passed on this collection. This is my first year so idk if this is normal for it to start a bit late but need dolls 😂 and anxiously waiting for dolls other than Poppy Parker

I only look at these dolls so far, but I’m not a fan of integrity Toys dolls, mostly for the sneering faces on so many of them. Their clothing and accessories are usually gorgeous, but I didn’t see that with this series. It reminds me of how Mattel has cheapened their clothes to save a few pennies. Integrity is supposed to be the high-end doll line. It was funny when you showed the last doll. I was thinking the darker pink lipstick was so pretty when you said that you didn’t like the color, but when you gave your reason, I saw your point. I will say that the bow in her hair did match the pink on her lips. I like pink. 😊 Visually, I like the JHD dolls. There doesn’t seem to be a lack of face molds there. Anyway, just my opinion.

And your opinion is valid. I love some lines from Integrity Toys, not all. As one line does not represent the brand as a whole. As far as JHD, I appreciate what they are doing, but they have a way to go in matters of quality and diversity themselves. Their darker skin doll are sadly receiving similar treatment.

Telling someone to not share an opinion due to the lack of melanin in there skin is not only a racist comment but cringe. To tell another human not share an opinion due to their skin color is a slippery slope.. Anyways, I own every black poppy and they all do not have loud pink lipstick, not even the majority. Your opinions are of course your own and of course your right, but facts are facts. Also, in pictures they might look louder than what they are IRL for the ones you have seen online. Yeah she has had a lot of pink lips, but all different shades. Like you said this is your opinion on this particular shade of hot pink not looking good with that skin-tone. I respectfully disagree and I’m sure Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim, Rihanna, Naomi Campbell, and many everyday black women that wear a hot pink lip disagree. But hey I’m sure some do agree with you that it's clownish, and that’s fine because differences of opinions are important from “everyone”. Oh and yes my father is black NewYorican and my Mother is South American but we can still go to war if you like hehehe☺️

My choice to ask for someone who lacks melanin not to share their opinions is not due to racism from my point of view. But do to the facts that the choices like this seem to always be ok with people who lack melanin. And many of the celebrities you mentioned I felt looked clownish as well when wearing such makeup. But as you notice, I do agree that everyone has the right to feel however they want as far as what they think of the doll.

Where is the evidence on that?Like how do you know that choices like this are fine with people with no melanin? I’ve been collecting since 2010 and that sounds pretty presumptuous. I have friends that are Caucasian in the Wclub that share your dislike of hot pink lips on black dolls, so to put a whole race in a box like that is questionable to say the least. I agree with most of your points, however I like the lazy daze one. I love the screening and although the outfit is really basic, she has lovely shoes. Am I tired of all these poppy releases? Yes. Could they do better when it comes to using different sculpts? Yes and No. this is a business, poppy brings the money in, so it’s only natural they use her as much as they can. Do I appreciate the borderline stripper make up they give to black dolls? No. And the fact that the designers are a bunch of white -ish men (no feminism here, just a fact) really does not help. I think the best screening ever done on a black doll is Pink Glam Adele, full stop. The rest is really questionable. I LOOOOVE watching your videos, I am obsessed with how you talk, move your hands, make faces… I feel like listening to a very wise auntie and I here for it. Sending love… ❤
