My Thoughts On The Sunbeam Sonic Egg Bark Device

I ordered the one you are featuring in this video from Amazon the day you reviewed the egg. I got it today and it worked so well. I'm pretty sure this will cure the problem within a day or two with my bad barker. Nothing else has worked and just like your Magnum, the barking can go on and on. For those who have negative comments on trying to correct a perpetual barker, let me just say my neighbors avoid us when I take them for a walk, because of the barking. They don't want to hear it. I want to be a good neighbor and really so does my Mini-Schnauzer and Mini-Schnoodle. They just need something like this instead of me yelling to stop. I thank you for reviewing this. I didn't even know it existed before you did.

I truly understand my neighbors had a melt down when my dog barked when we walked pass his door. It got really really bad and he was very violent. And I tried everything to stop the barking.

I have something similar & it works for the out of control barking! It will get to the point where all you have to do is pick it up & they’ll stop barking. I love your videos!

So do I, it's called bark off, it's a handheld device with a sound only he can hear. I use it for my 7 yr old mini schnauzer, he stops him barking instantly, even if he just sees me pick it up lol. Btw, he's a mirror image of magnum and acts the same way. 🙂

I just found your channel and have schnauzers. They are my babies. This question isn't really about the egg, even though I am considering trying it due to one loud barker at our house and that is how I came across your channel. But my question is where did you find the dog sign that is on your wall in this video (Yes, I need all these dogs) and did it come with the schnauzers on it? I love the sign.

Hello Kim! I've been watching your channel for almost two years and truly enjoy every video you post! Seeing that you've posted a video just makes my day. In March of 2016 I lost my 16 year old maltipoo and it absolutely broke my heart. I still cry everytime I think about him. But I got a mini schnauzer a few months later in July and his name is Axl. In 2005, for my daughter's 16th birthday, we got her a schnauzer so I knew what I was getting into. They're so silly and unique! I live in the country on about 50 acres so I'm not really concerned about the barking but I definitely understand how you would need to control 5 barking wackadoodle schnauzers in a close neighborhood! I learned to groom Axl by watching your grooming series. Although, he's nowhere near as well behaved as your boys! ; ) Thanks for all the lovely videos!

Thanks for this! I've been researching these devices. We have a 1 1/2 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog / Lab mix, and he is very talkative, especially when we are trying to listen to the TV! These seem to be hit & miss depending on the dog, but I'm thinking of giving this or something similar a try. Greetings from Mt. Morris!

You do what you think is right. I am a big proponent of getting dogs fixed. We got our male schnauzer fixed before he knew how to lift his leg and never had any problems with him thinking he needed to mark the inside of the house (my mother had that problem with one of her dogs). I think that non-neutered males, no matter how well trained can become difficult around a dog in heat. I think this would make walking several difficult. It is my nasty opinion that most "people" who don't want to neuter their dog are guys who imagine it somehow reflects on their masculinity. If you want to be a breeder and show your dog and stuff, then it is, obviously, necessary to not neuter him.

It worked wonders on Roxy our miniature Schnauzer, she stopped obsessively barking and After some time when we took it out she would quiet down. She was smart enough to softly bark to test it and if there was no spray she would howl as a miniature does.

I went out that same day you showed this on the first video and bought one. It seems to be working for my pups too. I have watched some videos on the collar that sprays and some people like it and some don't . Just heard that the spray cost a lot. I looked at them and just wondered if the dog would not bark when the collar is on and then go back to barking when you take it off. I just didn't want my puppy to have to wear that big bulky box all of the time and never heard anyone say what happens when they take the collar off. Let us know if you get one.

I got one of the small egg and it will work if the dog does not get to excited. ones the dog get to much into the barking it will not stop him. but if I use it early he will stop.

Schnauzers bark a lot, but there comes a point where enough is enough the person walking on the other side of the road is not trying to invade the house. I am speaking about my pup lol but now with 9 years old he has mellowed out a lot. He now barks at people he doesn't know, door bells or knocking. I think people need to learn that everyone trains their own dog differently.To the neuter (sp) comment , I wish I would have neutered DiNozzo when he was young, I didn't because we wanted to breed him and Neela, after Neela passed we just never thought about it. Last year, when he had his bladder stone and almost died they also had to emergency neuter him because his prostate was so enlarged to a dangerous level. So people really need to learn to just keep certain opinions to themeselves. It's your dog, you know your pups the best and you make decisions you feel are best for them!!!

The collars don't work. They may for a week or so but won't after that. And it's also insanely cruel and actually permanently harms the dogs nose and scent receptors in their noses. Shock collars are also another waste of $$. The only thing that will work is confining the dog when you're not out there with him (eg toilet training him and keeping him inside when you're not home) and training, training, training... I know the feels tho, i have a silky terrier who sets off my schnauzer but it's always the schnauzer who gets heard cos her bark is so piercing. She's always the first to come back when called and to stop when told to too...The silky is just a fuckin loon LOL. Barks at a fallen tree branch that's just laying there LOL

Try a squirt water bottle when Magnum barks..squirt him and he should get the message. We used this at the doggie day care I worked at

Sharon what I have noticed with many dogs is that dogs then start hating water, so bath time will become a horror, I had made this mistake with mine when he was little, he is now slowly starting to be ok with having a bath. After many long years. Again, everyone should make their own choices and they know their own dog best.

Please don't do those collars. They may put a bandage on the issue, but overall do not work. And a lot of people misuse them. Some folks will spray them multiple times, and eventually well dogs just start ignoring it, or lose smell in their nose. It basically sprays a scent right in their face. And Schnauzers are such chasers of prey. May startle him for a little. But I don't think it will help in the long run. And for me it is a lot like prong or shock collars. I don't like them. There is training you can do, but it does take lots of dedication. And you would have to train each one by themselves and then slowly together. But that would work in the long run. But tons of work. I love positive training methods, and while they are gaining speed, a lot of people just want the easy to fix. I will try to find some youtube videos of positive training. Check out Victoria Stillwell and um Zack George. Miniature Schnauzers love to please their people and yours are very food motivated. So, ideally.. With patients, time and consistency you can totally kick ass and just train them not to bark. You could also train them when it is okay to chase critters or not. But that is more training. Overall, it is your decision and they are your pups. Tons of people have opinions.. And some things work for some people, and certain dogs. Maybe not for the right reasons.. but moaning and growing online (Not you, the people who are giving you negative comments because you decided to get your pup fixed) isn't going to help solve the problem if they see one. They should make a change as in.. help teach things or get a movement going behind them sorta like Zack George and Victoria Stillwell are doing. You do you. You are amazing and I enjoy your channel and all that you share!
