Loved this. Like how you look at it at different angles. I'm part time out of my vehicle. Shelters can be abusive in many ways.

It's a stupid law. Locking people up for being poor.

Who do you call when the professor lies? Who do you call when the doctor gives you poison? Who do you call when the police are the criminals? Who do you call when the judge takes a bribe? No one, because no one cares about you. We are all completely alone. This life is heaven.

There is a solution, they need to make laws and change property tax policies in municipalities. For example, if a individual or corporation buys more than two homes in a county then you have to pay a 25% property tax per year. This will make it impossible for big corporations to buy up all the real estate, and drive prices up to the moon. If a big corporation buys 10,000 homes @ $500,000, they will pay $1.25 billion in property tax per year. Right now, they would be paying 1% property tax per year, so they will pay $50 million per year.

They need to have more mental hospitals. Not all, but a lot of homelessness is caused by some sort of mental illness. Putting them in jail does not help their situation. There is nothing “correctional “ about a correctional facility.

Mental hospitals are known to treat their patients very horrible and not to mention they are essentially punished for something they have no control over.

They should be glad to be arrested. They get free room and board. And, they don't have to worry about sleeping in the rain or snow. Look at the trash and junk lying around on Kensington Ave, Philadelphia. It looks like a disgusting cesspool. The homeless should never be allowed to dump their trash anywhere.
@renysimone33123 ай бұрын
Kensington is a DRUG den. Grant’s Pass is a homeless camp.

Sure they get "free room and board" however, that can worsen things as that can prevent homeless people from being able to get a job due to a criminal record, and the room and board is not "free" as not only we (the taxpayer) have to pay for all the food, water, healthcare, and shelter for that individual and that person does not have the ability to get a job, or have mush in the way of liberty.

So if you cannot afford housing, you should be happy to go to prison and lose your freedom? This is a disgusting comment, and very ignorant. People are struggling because of many reasons. There are ways to improve economic conditions that don't include infringement of people's liberties. Wages are too low for the real costs in America. Healthcare is too expensive. Housing is too expensive. Food is too expensive. Period. There will be homelessness more until food, housing, and Healthcare is more affordable for working people wages.
