Totally agree that other component prop field types would be so great to make collaborator component editing much more reliable - have often felt the same with how some have been using custom attribute props to control component styling, etc.

I think this is great. We can finally use classes the way they actually work in HTML. I couldn't ask for more. You always have the option to not use this and just go with a client first framework, but overall clients should abstain from the designer, that's why we have have components.

It is great! For designers. I don’t agree that components are for clients by design but I do agree on the approach that we should give them to clients. I just think we need a better way for clients to handle designs/variations of components.

Okay, I thought it was only me, LOL :) I couldn't get my head around it, because I couldn't see how the various use-cases I was seeing would make it easier for my clients. As it is, onboarding a client for me is still a work-in-progress.

You can actually do exactly what you are talking about here, have the client to add a class within the CMS editor by just choosing an option, by simply creating a component with a class that reverses the layout and linking that class as an option from the CMS.

Yes I can see that in the example from Maggy at 2:51. Let me clarify what I’m saying, enabling this behaviour in the designer as the CMS is clunky very limiting as you only get a certain amount of fields. CMS should be used for content, not for design.
